Good Location And Comfortable But Needs Better Directions To Carpark
We got ‘upgraded’ at check in from a double to a twin room for an additional 1000yen. The room was okay at 16sqm with separate sink, toilet and bath areas that are blocked off from the bedroom area with a curtain. The beds were comfortable - the missus said she had the best sleep so far on the trip.
The hotel provides amenities like a bathrobe, toothbrushes etc that can be picked up from reception. There was no kettle or tea/coffee, but there was a small safe and fridge for wet towels.
Wifi and aircon worked well, and hot water was plentiful. There are three washer dryer combos on the second floor but we were unable to utilize them as they were always in use. The corridors were quiet, which was nice.
Driving access to the carpark needs to be better highlighted or explained - the carpark next to the hotel can only be accessed from a one-way street that even Google maps brought us into from the wrong direction. Parking is 1100 yen during the official check in and out hours, though another guest reviewer did mention the Times carpark behind is half that price. Another alternative is Cozy Parking next to Dormy Inn. Driving around, it was also relatively difficult to spot the hotel. Perhaps better and clearer signage at street level is needed (eg Dormy Inn easy to spot).
Staff were friendly, though it seems guests should use the two self checkin and out machines.
They provide breakfast of two plump onigiris or rice ball, or a bowl of rice with a fresh egg. The onigiris are definitely filling.
