Great vacation

The service was great and the service was very detailed. Many staff members I knew approached me. Sweets buffet, SATUKI course menu, a la carte, breakfast, all the meals were very good.

Great hotel, but the older rooms feel a bit dated and "tired". Beds and linens could use some refreshing.

For the past 10 years, whenever I visit Osaka, I have stayed at Hotel New Otani Osaka. It is always comfortable and clean, and all the staff are kind, professional, and attentive. I am always very satisfied with my stay.

Nice hotel with paid facilities

The hotel is a few minutes away from the train stations, making it a good location to stay. Osaka Castle is directly across it. However, I was unable to book a hotel with a view of Osaka Castle. My room booking also did not include breakfast, and I found the breakfast buffet a bit pricey when I asked how much it cost. When I checked in, I was told they have a fitness center and a pool, but I can access them for an additional fee, which I find weird, since I usually have complimentary access to these facilities as a guest in other hotels.
The rooms are clean with an old-fashioned interior, which I really didn't mind. Maybe it's the ambiance they wanted to have for their rooms.
The hotel is near Jo-Terrace Osaka, an attractive open-air dining and shopping promenade that connects directly to Ōsakajōkōen Station. It offers numerous restaurants and cafés, as well as convenient access to Osaka Castle Park, making it easy to enjoy meals and sightseeing without additional transportation. The downside is that the place closes early at 7 pm. By 7 pm, the area is already very quiet.

Regarding the room view, while some of our room categories offer stunning, direct views of Osaka Castle, it appears you were assigned to a town-view room this time. Regarding the fitness club, please note that it operates on a membership basis. We charge an admission fee to maintain a premium environment equipped with the latest workout machinery and professional trainers always on duty for your safety. JO-TERRACE OSAKA in front of the hotel is indeed a popular promenade featuring many famous local restaurants, though it does close early. For dining options later in the evening, the vibrant Kyobashi area is just a 10-minute walk from the hotel and offers numerous restaurants and bars open until late.
