room was well kept, staff was very helpful and respectful, even with language barrier everything was understandable. Buffet and onsens were great.

The hotel located around 1km from the station and the road between the hotel and station can be quite busy traffic so it is not that ideal if you travel with large luggage. The hotel does provide a shuttle service on my way back to the station, it was initially said the charge is 100 yen but they did not collect it. In terms of the onsen, there is one in the top floor which offers an small outside onsen, and there is another one on the next building. The dinner is good especially the beef and seafood.

Easy hot water tour

Parking is convenient right in front of you.
The room is normally clean and satisfying.
The air conditioner is centrally controlled and can't be adjusted except for air flow.
There were two types of hot springs, black and white.
It looks like there is an open-air bath on the ground floor, but it was closed.
Naruko Onsen also has Masuya-san from the Oedo Onsen Monogatari, and I was able to use this hot spring.
At the front desk, you can also get a hot spring ticket for the Takinoyu.
The food was buffet, and the local dishes such as potato stew and hatto soup were delicious.

Out of no where in a remote Onsen town . It actually turned out to be very nice. Big room clean and as always good service from the staff . Breakfast was excellent with good food. The Onsen was really impressive . The wi fi need to be improved as it can only be used in ground floor but not in the room

It was as if taking a step back in time.
Drifting off to sleep in a dark room with the snow falling through the positioned sliding windows as to not see any of the surrounding modern day buildings, was a marvellous experience that I shall treasure forever.
Great amenities, a karoke room, natural onsens, a library and not to mention both a wonderful supper and breakfast, not to mention buffet style.
My only regret is not booking another night!
And the highlight for me was sitting in the natural onsen, both in daylight and below the night sky with snow falling, yet being warmed by the natural baths watching the world go by.
10/10 for me!
Can't recommend enough!
