‘Congratulatory Washing Mind’ announced

Shigeo Nagashima gave this ryokan a “kaiyaku senshin”. It really was. Three nights was a bit short, but staying as a hot spring took the weight off my back completely. If I could, I would like to stay five nights next time. I still have heartwarming memories of the wonderful tea made by the mother of the inn owner.

This is a lodging where you can stay with a guide dog.

This was my first time staying with a guide dog. I was very impressed with the care they took in making our stay. I heard it's hard to get a reservation, but I'd definitely like to return.

駅から徒歩５分で日本秘湯を守る会の温泉旅館にたどり着けるアクセスの良さ。
極上の貸切り風呂を巡り、真っ当で美味しい食事をいただき、リフレッシュしました。さらに、スタッフの方々の何気ない立ち居振舞いや　さりげない一言から　人としての品の良さや誠実さに触れ、心の捻挫も癒していただきました。
お金で買えない幸せがあるように、薬では治らない体調やメンタルには、連泊しての現代湯治が良く効きます‼️。
湯治宿なので、騒ぎたい人や便利さや豪華さを求める人には不向きです。
5minutes walk from JR NarukoGotenn-yu station.
Rykan Oonuma including all rooms is non-smoking.

いつも当館をご利用いただきまして、誠にありがとうございます。
「心の捻挫」もこじらせると大変ですが、当館でのプチ湯治で癒していただけたようでなによりです。
昔から日本人が大切にしてきた「湯治」は現代の方にも有益であると日々感じております。

A truly five star experience

The welcome and quality of care here is extraordinary. From the moment we arrived (someone from the ryokan met us at the station even though we hadn’t told them exactly when we were arriving), through the exquisite food prepared with local ingredients, the small touches (moving our son’s bed, while we were eating, to give him more privacy), through to the gorgeous Onsen, some of them outdoors amid fabulous scenery, this was a magical experience.

Not really a tourist destination ...

This is a motel style inn situated in a tiny deserted street by a railway station. Definately not a tourist destination. I’m baffled by the previous reviews of this place. The hotel is old (100 years +), but not really in a charming way. The onsens are old and in rusty tiled bathrooms. The inn has a spooky haunted vibe. The ‘town’ that it is in, isn’t even a town, it’s a tiny street by the railway station that features nothing but a liquor store and a souvenir shop. There’s nothing to do or see around the inn if you don’t have a car. However there’s nothing wrong with the food or the service or the cleanliness of the place. It was just not at all what I expected after looking at their website or reading previous reviews. Just know what you’re signing up for! No need to go out of your way to go to this place. When I chose it I was trying to avoid overly crowded tourist destinations but it turns out I look us too far off the grid.
