Another great return experience

I’ve been coming to Jersey since the late 80’s when I came on holiday every year with my parents and we stayed at the Grouville bay hotel. They went back year after year as the staff were lovely and this is why I return to the Merton. This is our 6th visit and it’s always me and my daughter. The staff are amazing,the welcome back card and chocolates in the room are a nice touch. Lewis in the entertainment team remembered us from our earlier visit ( he is a Leeds fan and we are from Yorkshire- although rival Huddersfield town supporters ) the entertainment team work tirelessly and I have to say the Route 66 show was fantastic. My daughter loves the silent disco All the staff are polite and will always ask how you are and if you’re enjoying your stay and nothing is too much trouble. We had glorious weather ( apart from today which is departure day) and never struggled to get a sunbed and this was midday. There was a lovely bar/bbq set up during the day. The pool towels have changed, it’s now you pay a deposit of £5 for towels rather than having the pool cards- but it’s cash only and I only ever bring phone/cards so may be useful for returning travellers. Thankyou again Merton team for a wonderful stay’

Very much a family oriented hotel with plenty to do for those with children, also a fair share of older coach parties. The staff are friendly and attentive across the board, from housekeeping to the front desk.
The rooms are clean and functional, we would have loved to have a small fridge in the room for keeping drinks cold, as it was very warm during our stay.
The breakfast selection is standard hotel buffet stuff and sets you up for the day. We did eat in Bonetti’s on the first night, the pizza was fine but probably a bit overpriced. We also used Jersey Joe’s which was fun and with a good selection of US diner type meals. We had the Dirty Dog hotdog which was delicious, with a side order of onion rings which was more than enough for two people!

Amazing staff - really made it a great experience.

We have had an amazing week here. The staff are amazing, they are so welcoming and really go above and beyond - all of them. The hotel could not have better employees and is so so lucky to have these wonderful people working there, from
the porters, reception staff, leisure centre staff, restaurant staff and bar workers and the domestic room service staff every thing was done with a smile and a calm manner- i felt so comfortable at all times.
Food and drink was excellent and we loved the pool and water slide and i enjoyed an amazing yoga class. It was a pleasure to stay and a fantastic location and it deserves much more than 3 stars - perfect for families of all ages and for everyone who wants a break. Thank you all so much.

Wonderful family resort

Perfect family resort. The staff were the resorts main asset - Gabby, Ophelia , Grey and Anand to name just a few. Everyone was so helpful. The breakfasts were great and there was even a pancake machine . We loved the pools and the entertainment Hope to come back again

Fab staff and hotel

This was our second visit to the Merton and it was just as good as we remembered. The staff are ALL AMAZING- friendly, helpful and hard working. Bhim kept our room immaculate. We had a family room which had a separate room with bunk beds that the kids loved.
Hotel is super clean, food is fantastic quality and value for money. Would highly recommend, drinks prices are decent for a hotel with happy hour in the star room too.
Kids zone was a hit with the kids(ages 6 & 8) - they loved going and always had a great time. Aquadome is clean and well maintained with vigilant and professional life guards.
Overall a fab place, I know the kids want to return again - and so do we. Thanks to all the staff that make this plan magical.
