GREAT value BUT...

I was there for a full week for a trade show. Nice garden and patio, but unfortunately no restaurant on the premise. Rooms are clean but kind of small and narrow and mine did not had a great view from the terrasse. And I did not know beforehand that they have some construction going on. And I told them to "upgrade" or renew the towels, generally spoken. Friendly staff, by the way.

We had a last minute booking for the weekend and there was a complex available of which we have enjoyed ourselves and could not have chosen a better place.Really a place of excellence will surely go there again.

Great place, super friendly

I had a great time here even if it was only for a short few days.
I was there for a tradeshow in the Gallagher convention center; it's only a 5 minute taxi ride away.
Fiston, the assistant manager, who you can always find around, is super friendly and helpful! He arranged everything I asked: a dedicated taxi, brought me drinks even when the bar was closed, called for my take away food, ... couldn't ask for a nicer service than he was offering.
They have a nice little pool and an honesty bar (grab your own drink and mark it on a card). They have nice breakfast, small but nice. Friendly lady is making eggs just the way you like them.
Near the Mall of Africa - huge mall with 300 western style shops.
I hope to be able to go back in a short while.

Good option near Gallagher Convention Center

The main house is a wonderful thatched building with an honesty bar. We stayed in one of the cottages in the beautiful gardens which was well appointed with TV, heaters and electric blanket. I didn't realise how cold Joberg can get during the night! There is also a pool (bit cold out of summer season) tennis court, pool table and outdoor BBQ area. Breakfast was excellent with loads of choice, yoghurts, fruit and a cooked full english. You can ring for a take away in the evening but we aren't that keen on take away so opted to go to the new Mall of Africa a couple of times - walked there, arranged for taxi back (not safe to walk after dark anywhere near Joberg) and once got a load of lovely salad stuff from the Mall and borrowed plates and cutlery from the Lodge. Fiston, the assistant manager is very helpful at arranging taxis. For cat lovers there are two beautiful siamese cats!

Nice Indeed.

The spacious garden add a sense of spaciousness to the accommodations. Safe parking on the premises and the rooms are large enough with a nice bathroom (Shower only). A lovely swimming pool is available as well as a tennis court for the sporty. The main house sports the dining room and honesty bar as well as a pool table and fire place for those chilly winter nights. It is centrally situated in Midrand and within walking distance of the massive Mall Of Africa. The rooms are very quite and it is a nice place to relax. The Lodge also sports a Lapa with Braai facility. The rooms have a full satellite TV service (DSTV). Free unlimited WiFi is available in the rooms as well.
