Great & Clean Rooms. A lot of steps. Be prepared to carry your luggage up a flight of steps.

Truly a Room with a View

Moraine Lake is one of the most beautiful places on earth but if you want to see it without the crowds stay at the Moraine Lake Lodge. Not only is it beautiful and comfortable but you can enjoy the lake without riding the buses in and out everyday. As a guest you can park at the lodge and enjoy all the incredible amenities. Staff is top notch. The naturalist is a fabulous story teller. The food at the restaurant is better than anything in the big cities. The crowds come in but you can hit the trails and leave them far behind. Ten mile hikes or a two miler the views and postcard worthy.

A very special place

The most special of places. We stayed for two nights at the end of July, as a special treat for our 30th wedding anniversary, and as part of a three-week trip to Canada. Everything about the stay felt special, lakeside cabin was cute and cosy, the bed and pillows super comfortable. Breakfast both days was delicious, a nice selection to pick from. Dinner both nights also superb, and the menu changed which was great, gave us different options both nights! Every member of staff that we spoke to was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and that’s so important, they couldn’t have been more helpful. Yes, Moraine Lake is busy with day-trippers during the day, but the setting is magnificently breathtaking and once they’re all away you have the place to yourself. Go up Rock Pile at dusk and watch the sunset, it’s magical. Go, you’ll not regret it.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Kind of Place

Moraine Lake Lodge was one of the most memorable parts of our entire trip, truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of place. Pictures just don't do it justice.
Our room overlooked the lake and was impeccable. Waking up to that turquoise water surrounded by mountains felt surreal every single morning. The lodge itself is cozy, peaceful, and designed to blend right into nature.
Our favorite parts were the quiet evenings, exploring the lake, and soaking in the peace once the crowds cleared out. Being able to skip the day-visitor rush and paddle a quiet canoe on the lake was amazing.
Dinner at the lodge was outstanding, easily one of the best meals we had on our trip. We were also able to hike right from the lodge, and Larch Valley Trail was our favorite.
The staff made the stay from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and accommodating the whole way through.
This is a true bucket-list spot, one that captures the beauty of the Rockies perfectly. Worth every penny.

Overall good with some unpleasant changes

Excellent hotel and location is obviously great. Couple of concerns: WE would like to do early hike, but the road is not opening till 12 noon. talked to canaada park people, they said: if you are staying in the lodge, just ask customer service to call them and they will let us in. Lodge declined. Another not so good changes from the last year: minimum stay in Cabins 2 nights. We live is Calgary. For this kind of proce: 2600 CAD per night we are more than happy with one night, Try to negotiate... Declined (though we are staying with them regularly for at least 5 years and celbrating out wedding anniversary.
WE will probably stay in a future, as it is getting a good family tradition to celebrate there, but would like to have some personal touch and understaning
