Excellent choice for accommodations in Cavendish
Motel has approximately 30 rooms. Most are one level motel style rooms with deck and Adirondack chair in front of each room. Quiet rooms are number 14 to 24 which are around the corner from the reception. The owners are a delightful couple who do a great job maintaining the property.
Rooms have fridge, microwave and TV but no coffee maker or kettle. There is an on-site laundry room. Decent wifi in the rooms on the deck.
Pool is clean and heated. Pool towels at reception. Not many loungers. Expansive green space with play area near pool.
Breakfast (8-10) is continental but with a decent selection of items. Breakfast area is in yellow building near pool with fairly limited indoor and outdoor seating.
You don't have to leave the property for supper. The Rasberry Point Oyster Bar has something for everyone but treat yourself to something seafood- bacon wrapped scallop burger, mussels and of course oysters. The Shuckers Choice is a dozen oysters from three different bays. You'll be surprised in the difference in taste.
Nearby and attached to the closest PEI liquor store is a surprisely large convenience store.

Dated and not as shown on website.
Room is dated. Accomodation is noisy . Breakfast is not great and the shower is terrible. The water changed temperature about 20 times during my shower. Definitely not worth the $200!!!

Nice family motel
Thus was a very nice family experience. Travelled with my sister & grandchild. Rates were reasonable for the area. Pet friendly. Lots of property for kids & dogs. There is a playground & nice pool. Granddaughter loved this place. Breakfast was continental, pretty basic, but plenty of it. Staff were friendly & accommodating. Rooms are older but clean, beds comfortable. Minutes from the National Park beach. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice spot
This was a great last-minute find in the heart of PEI in the high-season. The grounds are expansive and pleasant, with a cute play area for children and a pool. The breakfast room is breezy, with some tables on the deck. A breakfast buffet of basic pre-fab items is lovingly prepared and serviced by the manager/owner family. The rooms cheesy-quaint in the classic unpretentious motel style, and are clean and comfortable. The location is near the national park and a short drive to Green Gables. There is a restaurant just down the hill which we didn't try, and an interesting oyster farm.

Charged twice for the same stay — then refused a refund. Verify your card statement after staying here.
Our three families booked 3 rooms through Booking.com (Pay at Property) for June 29, 2026. We checked in, presented our government ID, paid in full at the front desk — three payments, three cards — and stayed the night. The motel even called me at 11 AM that morning to confirm our arrival.
THE STAY ITSELF: The property is clearly understaffed and nobody available when we needed assistance. Breakfast was the worst we've had at any motel: minimal, stale options, and — most concerning — utensils and dishware that were visibly unclean. With three families including children, we ended up skipping most of it. For the rates charged, basic hygiene and staffing should not be optional.
BUT THE REAL PROBLEM CAME AFTER CHECKOUT. Days later, I discovered THREE additional charges on my credit card ($654.35 total) — the card saved on my Booking.com reservation. When I asked for a refund, here is what happened:
1. First, the motel claimed our reservation was a "no-show for all three rooms" — on the very night their own front desk terminal processed our three in-person payments.
2. When I produced receipts, the story changed: now there was supposedly a SECOND reservation, made by phone, by a "different guest" — whose name was a misspelling of my name, whose phone number was my number, and whose credit card was my card. I never made any phone reservation and never received any confirmation of one. They charged my card a "no-show penalty" for a reservation I never knew existed.
3. When I pointed out that a "separate guest" cannot have my name, my number, and my card, they said it was "the guest's responsibility" to cancel duplicate reservations — a duplicate their own system created and never told me about.
4. Through several emails, they refused to say who supposedly made that phone reservation or from what number. Final answer: no refund.
One night's stay; weeks of billing dispute, now with my credit card issuer and Booking.com, with full documentation.
My advice to future guests: if you book here — especially through online with a card on file — check your statement carefully after your stay, get itemized receipts at the desk, confirm in writing that no other reservation exists under your name or number, and don't count on the breakfast.
