Surprising new gem
Stayed here one night with my wife and daughter after visiting the Granby Zoo but wished we stayed longer as it was a fun place to stay at since it had a nice pool and big hot tub area on the terrace open until 10pm. It also has a game room to keep the kids (and adult kids) occupied. It’s also next to a big water park which our room view faced which I preferred rather than facing only mountains.
The hotel is new, modern and really clean. You can either park for $15 underground or free just outside the large parking lot. The eating areas indoors and outdoors are fabulous. My only complaint is it only has 2 elevators and one broke down while we were waiting in the parking garage floor and had to wait 15 minutes to finally get on an elevator. Unfortunately there were no stairs on that underground floor either.
Overall I was really impressed and can’t wait to go there again.

All the staff I interacted with were outstanding, and the hotel itself is quite nice. The complimentary breakfast offers a good variety and is more than just a typical continental breakfast. However, there were two downsides to our stay.
Firstly, the restaurant on the first floor played very loud music that could be heard from our room all day long, often until about 10 or 10:30 PM. We were on the fourth floor, and it felt like we were staying right on top of a club—the music was that loud.
The restaurant I’m referring to with the loud music has both indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor section located right next to the pool and hot tub area, which also played its own music. This meant we were dealing with two different types of music playing simultaneously, which was quite annoying.
The second issue that bothered us was that the pool, hot tub, and sauna all closed at 10 PM, which felt early, especially with no lifeguard on duty at any point. Additionally, our checkout time was at 11 AM, but at 10:50 AM, our keys no longer worked, leaving us locked out of our room while we were trying to load up the car—just 10 minutes before checkout.

Worst customer service ever! Not a Marriott worthy hotel
Worse ever welcoming staff! We felt we are bothering them.
We had requested early check-in. They said hotel was full all rooms would be ready at 4pm. I guess they all clean them simultaneously! We are always going Marriott brand hotel. I would have understood if the answered : we are full and have a lot to clean, we will do our best but can’t promise anything.
They really didn’t care!
I am close to the highest level of Marriott loyalty program.
This hotel isn’t worthy of the Marriott brand. Awful service from the young Asian girl working at the desk was made us feel like going somewhere else which I recommend anyone else to do. There are a lot of good place to stay around Bromont who will treat you with respect and not make you feel like you bother them. Try Chateau Bromont. Just avoid Residence Inn Bromont. It isn’t a real Marriott hotel and they don’t give Marriott service more like motel 6

Brand new hotel very clean. Gave a 3 star as the hotel as the pool and spa area is more of a kids playground. We wanted to relax and there was definitely none of that. Kids screaming and dive bombing in the pool. Breakfast experience - food and setting were also awful.

Welcome new addition to Bromont
A slightly late review…
We were quite excited about coming to a new hotel which had only opened the month before, having stayed previously in Chateau Bromont and several other hotels across the Marriott group.
Check-in was a little sketchy. There was a line and when we got to the front of it, our room wasn’t ready, although only 5 mins prior to check in, only to queue in line again. There didn’t seem to be a line dedicated to check-in or general queries, just a free for all at 3pm. Hopefully down to teething problems and now they’re on it. We weren’t sure we’d parked in the right area of the main car park outside, the first two rows, however we weren’t ticketed, so all good.
We were pleased with our comfortable room with a small kitchenette. Breakfast good and plentiful. We watched the Winter Olympics on the big screen. Ate at the CabinInn a couple of nights. Food and service better the first night. La Selva was very good in the shopping precinct. Recommend booking, we turned up early into service without a reservation and it was full on a week night.
Sauna and hot tub a nice treat with a beautiful view of the mountain. There were children then it was school holidays here in the UK. Guests who prefer children to be seen and not heard would be better choosing an adult-only hotel or holidaying in term time!!!
I didn’t ski so had a facial at the neighbouring Amerispa which I would thoroughly recommend. The skiers in my group commented the ski lockers weren’t lockable, guests were expected to buy a lock for them.
Last but by no means least!
A huge thank you to Christopher for going above and beyond to find a way for our youngest to charge his phone (not a regular phone charger…he’d forgotten to pack). He didn’t give up until he found a workaround! Also to Caroline (?) for doing the honours, unlike the female manager who declined!
