Great Manager Great Motel.

We really like it here, the manager is very nice and kind and the place is decent. Despite another review posing as us which was NOT us we really do like it here. We lost our previous place and due to the fires, floods TRU students there was virtually NO vacancies but the manager here took us on and multiple times praised us for being good customers and a good example of decent customers who keep to ourselves, always pay on time and are plesent as customers.

Stay Away!!

Simply disgusting! I wish we would have read more reviews because it seems many people have had the same horrible experience staying at this disgraceful excuse of a motel. Room wreaked of pot and cigarette smoke. Sheets had cigarette burns and when we checked the mattress for bed bugs we found them stained and dirty like someone pulled them out of the ditch. Bed bugs didn't even want to live on those disgusting mattresses.
Tiny AC did nothing to cool the room down and it seemed like the building was a homeless shelter. We paid $160 for that nightmare. Never again Motel 6.
Also, I'm sure some representative of Motel 6 will leave some meaningless apology for our bad experience. The best thing that Motel 6 could do is shut that place down and board up the windows.

Sham motel 6

Opened the door to our room and was hit with terrible marijuana odour . The manager claimed to not smell it and refused to move us to another room . The shower faucet leaked the entire night , couldn’t even use the shower . The walls were left spackled they were not repainted . I love motel 6 in the states that’s why we chose it but I am shocked after seeing and staying here that Motel 6 would approve of this . There were “homeless “people hanging there and living there and their windows were looking shabby . Place felt kind of unsafe . Also the A/c was ineffective for the size of the room and in Kamloops you need AC .

Not what it presents as....Motel 6??

Close to Amenities - Food/Gas/Shopping
Cons
They take a photo of your driver's licence with personal phone!
Not a good practice in the era of cyber crime and identity theft!
So if you aren't into this, then I would suggest look elsewhere.
Room clean, outside is undergoing improvements.
The area is reflective of pandemic challenges and you may want to consider securing your valuables. The photos are not reflective of the actual state of Motel 6 website.

Disgusting motel

The only nice thing about this motel was the housekeeper who did her best to assist us. We got to hotel and I honestly felt sick looking at this dump but we needed a place to stay for my husband’s hospital procedure so made the best of it as we are seniors on a tight budget. Room was clean but nothing worked right. And the entire room is extra tiny. The complex is in a state of disrepair and some individuals living there by the month scared me. The next morning they ended up canceling my husband’s surgery so I advised the manager before 11 am that we had to go home as my husband needed to go get emergency blood and iron transfusions before they could proceed with surgery. We apparently had prepaid ( I didn’t know he had run the whole cost through) for three nights and we only stayed 1. He refused to refund for two nights, even though we cancelled before checkout time. Ended up costing us $220 for one night. The pictures in the ad falsely advertise this place It’s a dump. Wish I had taken some before we left. DO NOT STAY HERE! I will be calling head office regarding the state of this place.
