Very Nice Relaxing Weekend

Malahat Bungalows Motel - 4.5/5 ★★★★☆
We had a wonderful weekend stay at Malahat Bungalows! The location is perfect for nature lovers, with great hiking nearby at Goldstream Provincial Park, just a short drive away. The rooms are a bit dated in style, but they were spotlessly clean, which made all the difference. The front desk staff were incredibly hospitable, making check-in a breeze and communicating promptly and professionally throughout our stay. The whole operation feels very well-run and organized. Compared to downtown Victoria hotels, the price point here is excellent value for the quality and peaceful setting. We stayed for two days and had a very pleasant experience—definitely recommend this spot for a relaxing getaway! Would return in a heartbeat.

The rooms were clean and organized Very peaceful considering it’s proximity to the highway We found this to be at the top end of rooms on our two week trip

Renovated cabins in a noisy location.

The unit we occupied was one half of a cabin. The studio- like accommodation had two double beds, couch, TV, no kitchenette, but a bar fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was very well renovated, and everything was very clean. Wi-fi is free and works ok. It is unfortunate that the setting is adjacent to Hwy. 1, which is the busy thoroughfare from the north to the south of Vancouver Island. Traffic noise is incessant during the day, and it only gets quieter beween midnight and 5AM. The place is not prepared for hot summer days, as there is no air conditioning or fan. For a Motel 6-style accommodation a rate of $149 per night (plus taxes) is excessive and disappointing. There is a fireplace for the cool season, but the use of it is an extra $15. Think before you book.

A lovely surprise

We have driven past many times over the years and finally booked a week here. We found our bungalow so restful that we tacked on an extra three nights. Our little kitchen was well equipped and we cooked our own meals. There are lots of places to visit nearby including the newly opened Skywalk.
The constant hum of traffic didn't disturb us one bit. It dies down at night and we slept like logs on the comfortable bed.
A warm welcome from Jason and excellent service from him and his staff made this the perfect place to enjoy a change of scenery.

Well maintained beautiful little bungalows on Vancouver Island

Came to Langford to do some work and was accommodated here... the company picks the accommodations I have no choice.... well what a pleasant surprise... a little bit older but that is what you expect in a quaint Bungalow Motel setting... extremely clean inside and very helpful owner... personally I had no problem getting hot water I have seen some complaints here about hot water but you just have to know how to regulate the shower control... beautiful little well-kept bungalows in a beautiful well-kept property.... very friendly hard-working owners.
