Excellent One Night Stay At The Waterfront Inn

Had a great time staying at this hotel. The entire staff were such nice people. We had drinks outside at the 28 On The Lake Bar and Restaurant overlooking Lake Timiskaming and later enjoyed a great steak dinner. Our room was clean and very comfortable with a great view of Lake Timiskaming. Highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent Experience

Great option if visiting New Liskeard. Old school style, super clean and comfortable. Outstanding restaurant with picture perfect view.

Stay away from this place

Firstly the price was not the same at check-in and the reception didn't show any interest to honor my reservation price. Secondly the room was at most worth half the price, it was not even a 2.5 out of 5, Thirdly breakfast was very poor and only lasted until 930am even on a weekend and if yo happened to get there at 830 good luck finding food. The only good thing about the room with a tiny tv and tiny bathroom, was the bed was comfortable. If i had of known this hotel was that bad i would have picked the lower priced motels around the area and at least you know what you get. Choice or Ascend should be ashamed to have this hotel in there collection

BED BUGS

BED BUGS on my bed and walls. Girl at front desk at night seemed to not care. Called who I believe was a manager named Trudy. I explained that i found bed bugs and send her the video. She just said that they will clean the room and hire a company to spray. Then I will be notified, which after two weeks I have not been. They did not even offer to cover my laundry cost to clean my clothes incase Bed bugs crawled in.
I went to Holiday Inn down the street. Smells clean and it’s spotless folks.
I have the video and pics to prove it. You will bring bed bugs home and if not you will at least sleep with them. DO NOT GO THERE.
IF they contacted me id have to be humble and say i would not have posted this.
Calling the news next only in the slight chance they will cover it and the citys health department.

Don’t judge a book by Its Cover!

Don’t judge a book by its cover! The outisde of the building is a bit dated but inside is updated, comfortable and welcoming. The lake views are second to none and the boardwalk is steps away. The restaurant adjacent to the restaurant is fabulous and shares the same lake views. The website often does not get you to the actual hotel website. You have to call to make a reservation. You cannot book online. The breakfast offered is plentiful…eggs, sausage, French Toast, pastries, fruit, cereal and coffee….included in your stay. Perfect place for a family stay winter or summer.
