Super nice stay at the end of August 2023!

Super nice welcome at the end of August 2023!
After taking more than two hours to get out of Montreal, we arrive in this haven of peace where we are warmly received by Meggie and Ven, as well as other tourists who are already at the table. Great supper cooked by Ven.
The next day, after discussing our planned tour of La Mauricie Park with Meggie, we leave to discover this magnificent area of forests, waterfalls and lakes. Too bad the weather isn't really here, you little shit and mist.
The day after tomorrow is big day! We will fly over the park by seaplane, the sun has returned, unforgettable memory.
After a short tour and a good meal in Shewenigan, we go back to pack our bags before continuing our Quebec trip after a delicious lunch (yes, we are Belgian and we talk like the Quebecers;-) )
Our second evening was masterfully animated by Ven, music, faceted ball, dry ice and spots! An atmosphere of thunder, everyone was dancing!
Thanks to Meggie and Ven!
We highly recommend!

Very nice experience

Warm welcome, original and folk atmosphere.
The guests know the park of La Mauricie as their pocket and will give you advice on hiking tailored to your wishes.
The meal is delicious and fresh, probably one of the best of the trip.
What a wonderful step, I highly recommend this place!

The traditions

A nice stopover on our trip. The rooms were perfect. Nothing was missing. The taste evening took us to the Balkans. The owner did not fail to give us a lot of advice. Recommended for both accommodation and food.

Welcoming, memorable stay in a beautiful setting

I stayed for two nights in the blue room, the only room left, with two single beds, when I booked. As I was travelling solo, this was perfect. Meggie & Venelin are very welcoming. The Inn is kept very clean, we enter through the back patio door and remove our shoes. The Inn is very quiet at night and the shared bathroom is spotless. The back garden is a haven with a hammock, picnic tables and parasols. The copious breakfast is delicious and the ambiance is very cozy as the guests from France, Italy and Montreal, get acquainted. Meggie knows Mauricie Park and surrounding area very well, which makes the visit even more rewarding. There is a little communal fridge on the second floor, for your perishables. Not to be missed is the authentic Balkan supper, home made by our hosts. Made with care and extremely delicious, thank you Meggie & Venelin..

Charming hosts, nice basecamp to visit the National Park

Great times with Venelin and Meggie, who are welcoming and make sure everything is set right for your stay. Great ambiances with other chaps around home-made specialties. Room are confortable and everything is cleaning. Highly recommand visiting this part of Mauricie.
