Came to Almaty for Deep Purple concert in Almaty arena and stayed in this hotel

Not bad.

good hotel location, but not ideal. The numbers are small. For sleeping and running. Breakfasts are not varied, but delicious. The staff at the reception are friendly, trying to help with everything. A couple of nights at most.

Definitely go elsewhere!

Nowadays, it is really hard to find a hotel (even with fewer stars!) where the staff does not greet you, the breakfast is so meager that you only drink a coffee (horrible) and a portion of watered-down porridge, the air conditioning does not work to the point of calling the technician over and over again with +35 outside the window, without an elevator, and with tiny double rooms that even one person would barely fit in. Let's also add some truly approximate cleaning.
I am Kazakh by origin, raised under the Soviet regime (so I have seen everything), have been living abroad for many years, and I am deeply ashamed of the hospitality that this property provides to tourists from every corner of the world who (finally, I would say!) decide to discover the beauty of this country. Hospitality that has nothing to do with what has always distinguished us, although poor in substance but not in the heart of this people. Many areas of the country have so much to offer, the beauty of the landscape, the authenticity of the traditions, and hospitality, precisely.
I was truly sorry to see that in a tourist city like Almaty such facilities can exist.
Allowing myself some dispassionate advice, I feel compelled to warn you by saying spend your money better elsewhere, do not ruin the image of a beautiful country, full of natural beauty and warm people.

Worst Hotel ever

Worst Hotel in the world! Absolutely ugly, view from the window towards garbage and an old fence. Walls made of plastic! Breakfast very poor and ugly. Do not book this Hotel! Do not believe the pictures and good reviews. I travelled the world, but have never had such a bad Hotel before.

The bed was comfy, the pillows were decent and the staff was nice. The location was fairly close but easier to get to things via a scooter or quick rideshare. The AC also worked well.
The WiFi was unusably slow, you couldn't even stream music or use YouTube or any other app on the provided TV. If you plan to stay at the hotel at all, you'll need a decent mobile data package. The showers eventually get warm if you leave them on long enough, but never got hot. The breakfast was available and better my first day than second, but it would be easier to plan eating out instead. I wouldn't personally stay here again, but I was taken care of while there and the staff are honest. They accidentally double charged me for my stay, noticed it and ensured it was corrected prior to me leaving, which I much appreciated.
