Close to everything, simple but comfortable, the food is very delicious and the people who serve are super dear, everything to spend a great vacation in Capurganá, it is close to the pier and the main beach, organized and clean :)

So grateful!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The owners, staff and space at Hostal Capurganá were amazing. Very kind, communicative, clean, honest, helped us with our money (no ATM’s there, fyi), told us where to go, and even had a tv that I could watch a soccer game from back in the states on. We could not be more happy and grateful for our experience with them. Thank you so much for having us! We hope to see you again someday!

Capurgana getaway
Hi , I would just like to let people know i had a very pleasant stay at Hostel Capurgana...The Owner Silvio and his wife really went out of there way to help me receive money here , since its not possible any other way....the location is right by the ocean , there security cameras and the staff is very careful to who goes in and out so i felt very safe .....I would definitely stay here again over and over again .. Thanks again to Silvio and his wife Beatris and all the staff at Hostel Capurgana)))

Visit during LOW SEASON, more enjoyable. My 2nd visit in 2 years!
So now this was my second visit to Capurgana with the first being in October 2019 and both times I stayed my entire time at Hostal Capurgana. You can check out my October 2019 review and see that I am consistent with my comments. I have thousands of contributions and reviews in Colombia so take heed please.
Now first I must get this out of the way, when it is HIGH SEASON, such as long holiday weekends or Semana Santa or other important times the whole of Capurgana is filled to the top with tourist, expect noisy tourist filled bars and beaches and restaurants, hotels, hotel pools and well just about everywhere in the all of Capurgana.
During high season the music will be blaring at full volume (expect this as the norm) just about everywhere you go or walk or yes even at midnight it is possible to hear it in your hotel room depending on your location. The beaches will be filled perhaps over-filled both on the sand and in the ocean. The already almost unheard of customer service will now be impossible to find because of the influx of tourists.
If you can get past this and still want to visit, remember I have been twice already within 2 years, I highly suggest that you visit on off season as you will enjoy it.
Now to the hostal review itself - what can I say other than I returned to Hostal Capurgana for a reason which is that they do their very best to provide customer service, they are certainly not perfect but they try and try hard at helping with just about any question or need that you may have, and you will have questions and need help at some point and Silvio and his wife and excellent staff is always at the ready to assist.
Enough said, so yes I recommend Hostal Capurgana as I too will stay again on future trips.
You need to know that the power outages are a real problem in Capurgana so if having power and AC in your room and a reliable WiFi connection is top importance for you then you need to understand that Capurgana is located in just about the middle of no where so have managed expectations before you visit.

Great Hostal
We can recommend Hostal Capurgana. We were staying at Hostal Capurgana 3 nights during Semana Santa. Our foundation Plasticaware fights against plastic pollution in Capurgana. We want to empower people to reduce, recycle and upcycle plastic through education, awareness and support. Hostal Capurgana is super central located. Within a few meters you are right at the beach and you will find a lot of restaurants and bars around the hostal. We were there during our project and were working the whole day. The central location helped us a lot due to our work with the local community and tourists. The rooms are nice and the restaurant is delicious. Please note that during Semana Santa it is very crowded and loud. So if you want to enjoy a more relaxing vacation, don't visit Capurgana during Semana Santa.
