Great hotel

Great hotel, excellent rooms with a spectacular view of the beach and the boardwalk.
Very good service, the hotel staff is attentive and helpful.
Breakfast worth it but not very varied.
The pool requires maintenance and the facilities in general are old.

Beautiful view for a hotel that lacks

The hotel is old and deteriorated, it has an excellent view, but its price vs quality ratio is not adequate. The problem is that in Riohacha there may be another hotel that has the view that this one has. I think they make use of a kind of exclusivity for that population to charge more than it is worth.

One more Hotel where Time Stopped...

This is one of the hotels that was surely a reference for Riohacha at the time, but, but, it is no longer one. It really stood still in time...the facilities, the rooms leave a lot to be desired. I understand that being history deserves to be taken into account but that it has stopped without having made renovations, changes there, it is not convenient.
I must highlight something, its location is privileged and I was fortunate to have a room on a high floor - floor 10 - from which I could see the sea. But this is not everything.

Bad experience

Bad service from the people at the hotel, they act in bad faith, zero kindness, they wanted to make an unsubstantiated additional charge, it really was a bad experience, the value for money? Very expensive, there are better hotels at a better price.

Dated hotel, good breakfast, nice staff, on the beach front, good experience.

After my week stay in and around Santa Marta and Tayrona I drove over to Riohacha and by the time I got into town it was dark and late, nothing more than coincidentally I ended up in front of this hotel, I had no reservation but was greeted nicely at the front reception desk, got a room and ended up staying 2 nights just to relax and unwind.
At 200 mil a night it is in my opinion expensive given this is Riohacha and the hotel is old and dated but despite this I was pleased with the good breakfast, friendly staff, good pool which I used and the location cant be beat.
I have no reason to ever return to Riohacha but if I do I would actually consider staying here again so yes I could recommend this hotel.
