Amazing experience!

This hotel exceeded our expectations!.. we had the beach steps away from our bungalow! Very private hotel with beach, not many hotels next door. Has a
Restaurant with great food. Staff was friendly, they welcome you with a drink. Incredible views, nice clean cute hotel we definitely recommend it if you visit Costa Rica.. it is located at Playa Esterillos Este, Central Pacific Coast. wwe.almadelpacifico.com

The rooms are spacious especially if you book the ones with small pools.
Our room did not have blackout curtains. In the past they did and I would suggest they get them back so you can sleep in and also have better privacy.
The restaurant is good for breakfast and dinner.
In most beaches in Costa Rica it is very crowded. Here I sometimes had the beach all to myself. Great sunsets and you can arrange to ride horses.
The ocean waves are rough and I would not advise anyone venturing in too deep unless they have a flotation device. Strong rip currents.
The staff are all very welcoming.

An excellent option, a very special place with attentive service.

The architecture, the decoration, and especially the gardens are very beautiful and well-maintained. The facilities are becoming a "retro" matter that makes the experience even more interesting. The rooms are spacious (the size of a current apartment/studio). The entire environment, which must be about 25 years old, has an atmosphere characteristic of its time, which gives it a very particular charm. The restaurant is very good, with a somewhat limited menu. The service is excellent.

We had the delux beachfront villa. The villa was amazing !!! Such a cool relaxed vibe. Beautiful artwork. Such an amazing space. The restaurants food was great and reasonably priced. Just wish we had longer there. The private pool was fantastic.

Beautiful gardens and wildlife - gorgeous empty beach

Beautiful location and gardens right on the beach, peaceful and remote (one good local restaurant next door but nothing else walkable).
We really enjoyed our stay overall but did find the service was really rather rude in the restaurant. Two members of staff in particular.
The breakfast was really good , lots of choice and good portions.
...but the dinner menu was expensive (20 dollars for houmous ! Might aswell have steak for 27 dollars). and the food only alright - not amazing.
Restaurant was mostly empty therefore. No atmosphere in the evenings.
Cocktails at happy hour 4-6pm were delicious and good value and there were good tunes and beautiful sunsets and everyone came out so there was good atmosphere.
The rooms were big and beautiful, but in need of a refurb n a few places. Locks and tv and a/c all on last legs.
But bedding , towels and bathrooms all lovely.
Some Pool furniture broken and old. Some Tiles missing in pool.
But still a lovely place to stay if you are in this area - the design is great - just feels like time for a brush up here and there!
