Locanda Tours
While we didn't stay at Locanda Hotel, we booked a tour through them and it was wonderful! Our guide, Bernie, was knowledgeable, kind, and funny.
We were so lucky to be in the area during the Olive Ridley turtle arribada. Seeing thousands of turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs was a truly magical experience our whole family will never forget. Thank you, Bernie, for an unforgettable tour! We definitely recommend booking with them.

Disappointing room, nice place on the beach.
Small room, with small balcony and even smaller bathroom. You can barely get rid of your stuff. Lamp is stuck on the bedside table, very impractical.
The sink has size fountain in a toilet, can just a tube of toothpaste on.
There's nowhere to hang your towels.
Bed is very uncomfortable, hard mattress on a stone surface.
Noisy, right on the street and behind the kitchen.
Well air conditioning, but is full on your head.
Ceiling fan works well.
Small shower, good jet.
This concerns room C3 and C4
The pool is nice and fresh, is sandwiched between the rooms.
Restaurant very atmospheric, nice decoration and on the beach. Italian cuisine. Tasty, but very pricey compared to our experiences so far. (12 days on the road). Well catered breakfast with sea view.
Comfortable beds on the beach and good fixed umbrellas.

Not again
We were accommodated through a tour operator for 4 nights in the Locanda. We arrived relatively late after a 7 hour drive. On the premises it smelled of urine for the first few days. Then we were accommodated in a bungalow. There were two climate zones in this one. Sleeping area air-conditioned, bathroom separated by two transparent curtains. This almost didn't let me cool down at all, although the air conditioning was running permanently. The bungalow was musty and dark. In the bathroom only one lamp out of three worked, in the shower none was attached at all. Under the faucet, it was hard to wash your hands, because the water pressure was so low that it would have been best to hang your hands in the wall. When showering, the shower gel could hardly be washed off, as so little water came out of the shower head. It wasn't really clean either. In the evening we were in the in-house restaurant (Italian). Service underground, food ok and prices utopian (pizza Hawaii 20$). There was no bottled water. Essential for tourists, for example, to brush their teeth. In the morning we were woken up by a construction site at about 7am. (At night and early in the morning you can hear howler monkeys) For breakfast only 5 dishes are served a la carte. Tipico (country typical), Omlette, American, Yogurth Bowl and Pancakes. The portions are small, tasteful but quite good. Service better than evening, but still not good. Coffee and juice also bad. After the first night we have to lodge a complaint, as the construction site wakes up everything around it from 7 am. Then we got an apartment. It's a climb, but it's not good for a long time. The pictures in the appendix speak for themselves. After all, this one was much cleaner. On the whole, it's just loveless. What's good is the beach. This is quite nice and the loungers clean. However, these cannot be adjusted. Umbrellas are also available. The promised parking space was also not available. The boss keeps two macaws in the cage. Questionable, since they live freely in this region.
Conclusion: In the apartment it was kind of enduring. Unfortunately, we have not found out how much a night at the Locanda costs, but still advise against booking. You better spend an extra euro and go to a decent hotel. If it should be possible for you for cost reasons, they definitely book an apartment. For dinner we can recommend the restaurant Agua Dulce & Sheriff Rustic (each about 10 min walk and price/performance good)

Wonderful stay and breathtaking setting
Beautiful hotel with perfect location by the sea. Meals are taken on a terrace facing the sea. Everything is nearby: the rooms the beach and the restaurant. Not to mention the pool. The staff and care and so kind. The setting is wonderful. The village is close to... Easy opportunity to meet other customers. You can see free horses walking on the beach.

It's really rude that hotel staff block sun loungers on the beach for selected guests.
Other guests must get up before the sun rises, while the selected can sleep, as the hotel guard handles their loungers.
