One night in Nicosia

Booked here for one night and I was glad it was just one. It is in a nice part of the city and close to many attractions locally.
Best I can say is that it’s is was ok. It very basic and tired looking. The room was very basic and had the essentials. Needed new bathroom and total makeover. The breakfast was again very basic and not much choice. Not many having breakfast.
Could be a nice hotel with room and lobby remodelled. The Covid clear screens at reception reminded me of horror hotel I stayed once in US with bulletproof screen, it is a cold feeling and first impressions last.

It was a pleasant experience staying this hotel. The location was in the residential area in the city. The staff were friendly and kind. Breakfast was decent quality food supplied. The building was nice but put some updating decorations will be better.

Very disappointed

The facilities are ok for the price paid. There is a small parking area to the front which gets busy but most of the time a space will become available. The room itself is a decent size with coffee facilities and a wall a fixed hairdryer in the bathroom. We requested a quiet room but got a room overlooking a noisy road. This is not the hotel’s fault but the double glazed balcony door and a small single glazed window to the side of the room offered inadequate sound proofing in my view so bear this in mind if you value your sleep. The room door did not always lock on leaving and on our last night the safe developed a fault and had to be manually unlocked. The wi fi was not the best but I had come to Nicosia to visit my daughter, not to use wi fi, so I let that go. A breakfast is included with staple items such as cereal and eggs available. Nothing exciting but adequate. All these faults I could overlook for the price, but on arriving home I realised that I had left behind a lovely pair of yoga socks that my daughter had bought me as a gift. These were clearly brand new and still in their cardboard inserts. On contacting the hotel they told us that these had been found and immediately thrown away as “ used”. My daughter would have easily been able to collect these from the hotel. For this reason alone I will not return to this hotel. Had the item left been of high value I do not think I would have got it back. A hotel should retain items found in a room for a couple of days and they did not do so. This is a shame as we frequently visit Nicosia to see my daughter who studies there and had planned to return to this hotel until this incident happened.

Really sweet staff. The nicest in my whole holiday. The breakfast buffet was average in variety and quality. We had a nice warm room (it was cold outside). For a short stay and i guess it was okay.
