Private Feel, Great Location, and Excellent Service
We recently stayed in Apartment 1A and had a very pleasant experience. The apartment itself was spacious and well-suited to our needs, and importantly, the entire place was clean and highly functional.
The location is absolutely fantastic. While the property itself is tucked away and peaceful, it is just a 2-minute walk from the local bars and restaurants, and only a 10-minute walk to the beach, giving you the best of both worlds.
The property was incredibly quiet during our stay—for a few days, we were the only guests there, which gave the whole place the wonderful feel of a private villa. The pool area is very nice and the pool itself was crystal clean.
The apartments appear to be run by a lovely Asian lady who was exceptionally friendly. She looked after us brilliantly, ensuring our room was cleaned and providing us with fresh towels every single day.
A few practical things to keep in mind for future travelers:
On-site Amenities:
The bar and snack bar were not open during our visit, so it is a "no-frills" setup on-site, though the nearby restaurants make this an easy fix.
Local Wildlife: There are quite a few cats roaming the grounds. They are harmless, but definitely keep your patio doors shut if you don't want any uninvited furry visitors in your room!
Overall, if you want a clean, quiet base that feels like your own private retreat while still being minutes from the action, this is a great spot.

not good at all
never walked out of apartment before but had to this time
arrived hotel was closed and key left in box
went to apartment 205 and bedroom walls were crumbling around base of room
bath was rusty from water dripping over a long period and around plug
disgusting quality
owner turned up and he said about better apartment!!!
shouldnt be supplying bad quality so turned him down and booked into a hotel
so glad i was paying on arrival
book better apartments
cant see how these have good reviews
owner hasnt got back to me so says alot

Short break in the sun
We stayed at The Flokkas for a short break, well equipt rooms spotlessly clean and lovely staff.
Pool area was a good size and most days we had the pool to ourselves so peaceful no noise around the apartments on a night either .
I really cant fault the apartments at all they have all you need a safe in the room kettle fridge decent size bathroom too, will definately return amd stay again.

Less of the Cypriot Charm
It makes me so sad that I only give these apartments 3 stars.
This is our 3rd year back here, and unfortunately, we have been a little disappointed with the service.
The first time we came, 2 years ago...it was such a wonderful place. Full of warmth and that Cypriot charm and wonderful hospitality. It was run by a family, we'd get a slice of watermelon by the pool, the bar served fresh orange juice, and we really felt cared for, valued, and looked after.
We came last year. The family had left. Nobody is running the bar. It's disappointing, especially when we had to leave the premises to get drinks etc. But, it was quiet...and there's a decent restaurant right next door for a nice lunch. So it wasn't so bad, even though there was that something missing....the Cypriot hospitality from the previous year.
Now, this year. We returned, and there are new people running the bar area. We thought, ah amazing... we have everything we need right here.
Yet, sadly, we found the people checking us in and serving behind the bar abrupt and rude. Like they could not be bothered to serve a paying guest. We happened to stay in the week of a heatwave, 40-degree heat, no water melon by the pool, or any gesture of a cold drink. Cypriot charm and hospitality this time had certainly not been present.
We decided to come to our room on one of the days to avoid the heat. Our toddler was napping, as was i (7 months pregnant).
We had a very loud bang on our door, from the lady running things, telling us we were due to check out that day, there and then. My partner calmly told her that we had paid for 4 nights not 3, she went away and checked her computer (which surely she should've done in the first place) and she saw that we had indeed paid for 4 nights and that we were not due to check out that day as she was insisting. We received no apology. It's really disappointing to feel so unwelcome in a place we really do like returning to so much.
The bar also operates a cash only system. We paid our tab of 2 frappes and an ice cream...we had worked out the exact total, of course they tried to over charge us, until we pointed out the menu and itemised all the things we had.
The accommodation is perfectly fine. Very pretty grounds. Rooms spacious and clean. Although, we did have to battle ants in our studio this year. The cleaners are the unsung heroes, they work tirelessly, 12-14 hour shifts in the blazing heat ensuring our rooms are spotless and the grounds are well kept.
The location is also great, a restaurant right next door and across the road with plenty of little shops nearby to get pretty much any essentials you may need, and a short walk to the beautiful beaches of protaras and the main strip with all the bars, shops and restaurants.
Would we return? Possibly. But unfortunately, this wasn't the Flokkas we knew and fell in love with this year.
Bring back Cypriot charm and hospitality and it's the perfect place to stay in protaras!

NICE FOR SUMMER STATY AT AFFORTABLE PRICE
We stayed there over weekend and was a nice choice.
Greek island style hotel and room remind the Greek island room to let style..
It is rather old but clean room and normal price for Protaras area. There is also a kitchenette and fridge.
Walking distance to the beach and Protaras area.
