Spent one night in this hotel at the 15th floor. The rooms were unusual but nice. Not very well sound proofed but not that it was a problem. The skybar served some good drinks and snacks with a good view of the harbour and area surrounding it.

Pretty average

The hotel is close to the centre of town and even more convenient for the strip club next door. We spent two nights there.
The reception is in a lobby area shared with entrances to several commercial businesses and our room was in a next door building accessed either externally (careful of the cars entering the carpark) or by an internal route which felt too complex to bother about. The lifts had a "municipal car park" feel and were small and jerky.
The room also was small, with little space for cases, and smelt either of dog (several guests had dogs) or cigarettes (it was difficult to pin down). We weren't super confident in the cleanliness of the bathroom either. The view is of a building site.
Breakfast was taken in a large room (in the other building) without daylight (unless there were windows at the back where we didn't sit). There was plenty of room to sit, a good choice, and the orange juice was fresh (although possibly slightly watered down). Coffee was good.

Close to restaurants

Television went off every five minutes so have remote handy. No remote for the air conditioner found in room. Luckily there is the ability to open a window. Breakfast was decent with many choices. Close to the waterway which offers a pleasant walk along the canal and plenty of restaurants. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms small but functional.

disappointing

where do i start..... I travel a lot and this is the first time i decided to leave a long review. Perhaps it will be taken into account by the manager of the hotel. Staff on reception unpleasant and gave little information (with the exception of a lady with long hair who was very good); Very complicated and long route to rooms with multiple lifts, easy to get lost or use the wrong lift - there's an easier way (go outside and enter the other building from outside) but neither was explained upon check-in. 5 euro extra for a bottle of water in the room, seems very excessive. Breakfast has a varied choice of food of equally varied quality (coffee in particular was bad), plus the setup is insufficient to cope with the number of guests (very cramped, not enough cutlery, cups etc), breakfast should start earlier (not at 8am) so that it is easier to manage. Plates would remain uncleared on tables for a long time. Bedroom stuffy and smelly, lobby area smelly. Neither of us (we had 4 rooms) got 2 key cards, we each had to ask later for it, and one of them did not work which resulted in multiple visits to reception (as mentioned earlier, getting there take a long time). We were all disappointed. On the positive side, the location was good (and easy to find as it is the tallest building in the area), room was quiet.
