A lovely friendly little hotel. The staff were very helpful and the beds extremely comfortable. The breakfast was of a good quality and I would certainly recommend staying here again

It is okay for a short-term stay

It is located outside the centre of Mersch, a 15-minute walk from the train station.
As it was located between the two settings were I was working and I was picked up every morning, the location was convenient. Also, there is a big supermarket Cactus close to it.
The room was very spacious (I was told it was the biggest room) and clean.
Breakfast was okay, but there was not much variety, unless you appreciate cereals a lot.
The day before checking out I was told that I would have to leave the room between 8:30 and 9:00, because the lady that does the cleaning wouldn't stay until 11:00, as I requested.

Wonderfully old-fashioned!

A lovely, small, old-fashioned hotel. Surprised at some of the negative reviews on here. If you want swanky, modern chrome and glass, there are plenty of more expensive options nearby. If you want a bit of charm, and possibly the most helpful staff I’ve ever met, you’ll be happy here. It’s not at all grand, and a little faded in places but it’s been a pleasant home for a couple of days. And btw, I’m using the wifi now so it does work!

Not to be recommended

The furniture, and especially the bathroom, are outdated. The internet does not work in the rooms upstairs. The only place where it works is in a dark corner of the reception, but if you sit there for too long, the hotel proprietor will shut off the internet also there - just to let you know it's time to move on. There is nothing to see on television and the bathroom smells of gasoline. If you are looking for a cheerful atmosphere and a friendly attitude, don't come to this hotel.

Dear Daina, we are very sorry that you don't feel confortable in our hotel. In the group you have been you know that everybody cames even later as usual for breakfast (we said nothing). You were sitting from morning till evening in our reception. We have to manage 2 hotels so we have to close it up at 12.00 which is quite normal. Internet was working because you have been on net the whole day and also when we left. When you see people sitting on our confortable canapé in the reception 3 days without moving it may also be strange for us. Maybe that you give us bad comments because you feel bad to take the breakfast buffet food to your room to have something to eat during your day or perhaps the disorder you have had in your room. Please be honest to people which have been correct to you.
