Everything went super well, clean, does the job, friendly staff, and punctual cleaning, in a very nice area with stores and cafes.

Smaller hotel room, steep stairs (lift didn't work)

Less hotel room. Queensize bed. Small TV, which had no signal, but the receptionist helped with new wires so it could work.
Small bathroom with shower cabin. The door to the bathroom could not be opened completely due to a radiator.
Parking in underground garage must be booked in advance - limited space (a little difficult to turn the car).
The elevator was unfortunately in trouble (according to the hotel it was so small that we could not get our wheelchair up. This was why the hotel initially canceled our booking - but hotels.com helped get this rebooked).
The staircase from the parking cellar is very narrow and steep.
From the reception we had to walk through 2 steep stairs to the first floor (hard for my husband, who is poorly walking). Fortunately the receptionist helped with our luggage.
The hotel has no restaurant for lunch/dinner, but some cafes are relatively close.
Breakfast on the ground floor. Not that big selection.
I picked up our luggage in the room and brought it down to the car so my husband only had to take the steep stairs to the basement when we were leaving.

The hotel was very central and was surrounded by shops and cafes. There is an underground carpark that charges 12 euros a night, and the address is 34 Rue Zenon Bernard. You also need to keep your card handy as it unlocks the main entrance at night as the reception wasn't manned when I got back late one night.
I had a great stay and would highly recommend!

Bad hotel

The 4-star hotel is far from being. The elevator barely gives for a suitcase and a person and when you get to the floor, you have to climb a walk of stairs with luggage, to get to the room.
Breakfast is weak, little variety and on the last day no fruit had to offer, just an unconditional apple. The rooms have little light, but are still the best of the accommodation, as the bed is comfortable and is better to fall asleep quickly, since I was all week without access to the TV.
The staff also did not seem the most suitable for a said 4-star hotel, sports clothes to serve Breakfast is not normal in any hotel in the world.
In short, do not be guided by the stars of a hotel whose best thing is to be on the main street.

A fresh start with the new owner

Had a very good stay at Hôtel de la Poste in Esch. The location is excellent, right in the city center with restaurants and shops close by. The room was clean and comfortable, and check-in was simple. You can feel the difference with the new owner — very professional and attentive, which makes the stay even more pleasant. Breakfast offers good variety and great value for the price. Overall, excellent value for money, and I’ll be happy to come back.
