Authentic & Wonderfull family-run guesthouse
We stayed for three nights at this wonderful family-run guesthouse and had an amazing experience. The location is beautiful, right on the paradise island of Tioman.
Mr. Wee and his family welcomed us with genuine warmth and hospitality. They were always happy to help and gave us great advice about the island.
The Advanced Snorkeling experience was a real highlight. Instead of simply taking us to a snorkeling spot, Mr. Wee first taught us the essential skills to snorkel with more confidence and ease. Our 11-year-old daughter was a little nervous in the water, but he took great care of her, helping her feel comfortable while also capturing beautiful videos of our snorkeling trip.
We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and highly recommend X Rector to anyone visiting Tioman. If we ever return to the island, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

great vacation at x rector.
very clean room and surroundings. value for money. not noisy at all. quite place, suitable for romantic and peace getaway. complete amenities given. the service provided by host was excellent. great location with sea view.

Wonderful advanced snorkeling course
We had a wonderful experience with X Rector! We enrolled in the Advanced Snorkeling Course for our family of four, consisting of two adults and two children.
The course was a full-day program, beginning with a theory and practical beach session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by an open-water session from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
It was an amazing opportunity to explore hidden underwater caves and experience the playful currents—something that most snorkeling trips do not offer. Throughout the course, we were taught essential safety measures, jacketless snorkeling techniques, and duck-diving skills.
A special thank you to Wee and Shena for being so helpful, patient, and kind throughout our journey. Their support made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable.
We are now proud SSI-certified snorkel divers! We highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a unique and rewarding snorkeling adventure. Looking forward to joining another adventure with them soon!

High recommended!!
First and foremost, the host is very friendly and always reachable. He even pick us up when our kids were too tired to walk back to the hostel lol
The room was much cleaner than how it looks like in the photos!!
Our kids really liked the host and they were almost crying when leaving. Highly recommended!!

Personal, nice stay with super snorkel tour.
We had a wonderful stay of 4 nights on Tioman. Our daughters of 8 and 12 have been snorkeling in the sea for the first time in their lives. It was very nice that Mr. Wee first taught them 3 hours of snorkeling in the morning. Because of that they had some experience and were not afraid when we really went out to sea in the afternoon with the boat and went snorkeling there.
We have snorkeled in many places in the world, but this was really the most beautiful. We have seen sharks, rays, moray eels, turtles and a rare sea snake (and of course beautiful fish). We also made a stop on a beautiful white bounty beach. Grandma went snorkeling, snorkeled after us and also pointed out beautiful things and made sure no one was left behind. She also cooked us a wonderful evening. She was very sweet. And so did Mr. Wee's wife and nephew. Together they made it a very personal and pleasant stay.
The shared stay at the edge of the sea was very pleasant with beautiful views. You could easily order good food at the neighbor's restaurant and then eat it at the sea view accommodation.
Mr. Wee also had many tips for other fun outings and arranged that. For example, we went to a turtle rescue, we drove quat through the jungle and we went to the other side of the island in a jeep to see the beaches, swim and snorkel. That was also a very nice outing.
It was lastly still convenient that there was a washing machine. I would definitely come back here again.
