Very good hospitality! Very warm and welcoming host. Very natural atmosphere and you get to see cows milking their young ones beside the resort :) best place to bring your kid to experience nature in a safe environment. Bonus point: bed is very comfortable and water pressure is good

Still amazing in 2023!!

Sadly we'd only booked for one night. This place was amazing. A beautiful setting overlooking the rice paddi fields.
A charming young man, Ibram ( please forgive if this is an incorrect spelling) made us so welcome and explained the agriculture and the fascinating hydroponics on the site. In the morning he prepared a wonderful local breakfast for us to enjoy in the outdoor kitchen. The beds were comfy and the room bright, modern and spotless.
We had brought a mosquito mat to plug in, since I always seem to attract them, although there didn't seem to be any.
Filtered water was available in the kitchen.
This location is a little remote and you really need to have transport. But worth it for an unforgettable experience.

Halcyon days in paddy fields of Langkawi

Halcyon Days is a befitting name for this simple chalet-style home stay, set in idyllic paddy fields with views of the mystical Mat Cincang mountains in the distance. I had to look up the meaning (and pronunciation!) of halcyon – past days of tranquil happiness! Yes, it was indeed lovely and tranquil waking up with the sun to watch buffaloes roam the fields accompanied by white cranes hovering around them. We had the privilege of meeting the warm and friendly owners of the spotlessly clean and comfortable home stay and enjoyed their company as we relaxed and chatted in the breezy open dining area in the coolness of the morning/night air. They had interesting stories to share, food recommendations and gardening tips accumulated from all that pottering in their vegetable patch which have yielded bountiful harvests of tomatoes, chilly, zucchinis, celery, ladies fingers and more! Thank you very much Benjamin and Swee Peng for welcoming us to your lovely holiday home stay… we came as guests, but leave as friends :-)

A rare gem in Langkawi

This property is one of the best in Langkawi, offering a very affordable stay with stunning paddyfield view overlooking the mountains.
The room is clean and bed is new and very comfortable.
Highly recommendad if you wish to enjoy a relax and experience likes local in Langkawi. It is not too far from town and Pantai Cenang and can be easily reach by motorcycle or grab.

Worth the Stay!

Beautiful place, Serene, natural. Super friendly owner! At Halcyon, there's a nice common areas which you can chill and drink while appreciating the surrounding Paddy field. Air is great in the morning and the view is worth it all. We spent a night there. Wished we had spent more.
