Very beautiful guesthouse
It's was a lovely vacation at nolhi escape, our welcome bed decorations is so beautiful.room is very beautiful, food was very delicious, and our host mysha is always available and very helpful so caring, whole stay is awesome thanks to owner and mysher

A Lovely Escape!!
My 21-day stay at Nolhi Escape in January was a delightful experience. My room was large, well air-conditioned and comfortable and the staff cleaned it whenever I asked. There is plenty of hot water, the guesthouse has a lush garden and is quiet (you can hear the prayers from a nearby mosque five times a day, but they never woke me).
Nolhivaranfaru, the small island on which Nolhi Escape is located, isn't the place for someone seeking a resort experience -- there are few tourists, no large resorts, water huts, slides, adventure parks, etc., and you may see an ant or a harmless spider or two -- but it is a safe, serene, hospitable place that is virtually untouched by development other than the small homes of the residents, who mostly live by fishing and farming. Nature surrounds you on the island -- you will likely spot the red-eyed koel bird with its unmistakable loud call, the white-breasted waterhen (the national bird of the Maldives), flying foxes (bats), which come out in the evening and are wonderful to photograph, and hermit crabs and other shelled creatures along the beach. The island offers a look at Maldivian life before the grand resorts and troops of tourists arrived.
Nolhi Escape is just steps (about 2 minutes) from the island's beautiful uncrowded white sand beach with its warm turquoise waters. I found myself swimming alone on many days! Technically, no bikinis are permitted on this island, but for those who must, just a short walk down the beach is a "bikini beach" near a small resort/guesthouse that also offers a small PADI dive shop.
The staff of Nolhi Escape -- Sobah and Ali -- will do all they can to ensure that your stay is perfect. They will arrange trips via speedboat to nearby islands if you wish (I went to Utheemu to see a sultan's former home and saw some flying fish along the way!), arrange a beachside BBQ, help you book a ferry ticket or be there to help with any wi-fi issues. (Wi-fi is very reliable at the resort!) Both were happy to educate me about the island, its sights and people and about the Maldives generally.
Ali is an amazing chef, who will cook to your preference. The meals he prepares are plentiful, delicious and healthy. I'm a pescatarian, and he dished up pastas, rice with vegetables, plantains, whole fresh fish, fish curry (the best!), roasted potatoes, fresh salads, pizza and juicy papaya, served with warm roshi (a Maldivian flatbread, which Ali even taught me to cook!!). My breakfasts included french toast, pancakes, eggs, toast and more, all served with tea and varied juices. Ali also made some great flan and lovely Maldivian banana and coconut desserts.
The guesthouse provided me with a bicycle, and it was a delight to bike around the small island meeting the residents, who were all welcoming. There are a few small stores where you can stop for a canned mocha latte or other drink and a snack and a few small cafes (I got a great pizza and an alcohol-less blueberry mojito at Food Bite!!). There is no alcohol on the island. I went diving a few times and spotted large morays, a whitetip reef shark and many colorful angelfish among other beauties.
I left Nolhi Escape refreshed. I know that I will return to this magical place!

Best Maldives Escape
This is an excellent choice for your trip to Maldives.
Nolhivaranfaru is a quite large island and has a curious shape with a long sandy beach. An island itself is a home for a local Maldivian community, all friendly and hospitable people. The guest house was opened in 2016 and run by a team of kind and dedicated professionals. Designed with style, all is very fresh and elegantly organized. Rooms are spacious, have air con, plenty of hot water. WiFi is excellent everywhere in the guest house. Everyday you have fresh beach towels and bottled water. Bedding is absolutely great, you’ll have a very good sleep. Cleaning is twice a day. Any request is responded timely and to the best. The food is simple & straightforward with fresh ingredients, including tuna, local reef fish, vegetables and fruits.
The white-sand beach with clear turquoise water is located in literally 3-min walk and sun beds and umbrellas are provided.
To sum up, I loved every each minute stayed at Nolhi Escape and would recommend to anyone who is looking for the best experience possible on the local island.

Perfect haven for a true Maldivian experience!
I stayed at Nolhi Escape with my parents for 3 nights in the family suite. It was the perfect haven for us to take a break from the bustling Male city and spend quality family time. The boutique retreat is extremely cozy, beautifully built with a natural touch and lush green gardens. It is well located, with close access to a vast beach and lagoon, and extremely peaceful – a home away from home feeling!
The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and clean. We loved the design which was simple and vibrant with a local ambience to it. We were delighted to also have our own kitchen and living space – with great facilities and amenities. Not to forget having your very own Jacuzzi and an outdoor shower in the bathroom!
Our stay would not have been what it was if not for the wonderful staff who ensured it to be memorable from day one. We absolutely loved the food by top-noche Chef Ali. He always asked us what we preferred for the day and went an extra mile to spoil us with superb meals and more. He also fulfilled our wish to go saling on an authentic Maldivian “Vadhu Dhoani”(Sailboat), where we first stopped at the lovely sandbank (just a few hundred meters from the island!) and took a ride along the island reef. Sailing at sunset around the beautiful island was heavenly. This experience is highly recommended, also to explore the further end of the island.
Sobah, who looks after the retreat and assists to all needs, was also very kind and attentive during our entire stay. He was always around with a positive can-do attitude and warm smile – his answer to any request would immediately be a yes!! Him, along with Imran (boat crew), helped arrange a visit to Utheemu and Hondaafushi nearby on our last day. This was facilitated well as the retreat has its own speed boat for excursions, activities and airport transfers. All staff were very polite and interactive throughout, and we really enjoyed the time we had with them. We really felt like at home and did not want to leave when the time came. It was really nice of them to see us off at Hanimaadho airport as well and we really hope to visit again one day.
Nolhivaranfaru is a serene island with beautiful beaches and sea around. The retreat offers bicycles with which you can ride around the large island. The long beaches allow you to enjoy walks and have private spaces to yourself. There is very less development, which gives you a real feeling to the local Maldivian island life. The local people are friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend a visit to this island to have a true Maldives experience and Nolhi Escape is the place that will top it off! A big thank you to the management and staff who contributed to making our mini holiday an absolute tropical bliss.
