I came for one night and it was so good I stayed 9!
I have just had a 9 day stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast and highly recommend you stay here. The property is in the centre of Valletta and is in a great location for seeing all the sights of the capital and only 5 mins walk to the bus terminal. The bed and breakfast is full of charm and is very exquisite and the owners Dorothy and Charles spent a great amount of time and effort in creating an amazing

I had originally only planned on staying for one night, I was on my way to Greece but instead I was so impressed with Valletta Lucerne that I stayed 9 nights and wish I could have stayed longer!
As I booked last minute I got to experience a few of the rooms and the penthouse suite on my last night and each one was tastefully designed and furnished and were heaven to stay in. They have really captured the feel of Valletta with their design and I love the vibe and energy.
Dorothy and Charles are fantastic hosts and full of great information and made me feel very special and looked after. The staff were also extremely helpful and courteous and nothing was ever any trouble for them.
The healthy home made delicious breakfast each day was great to wake up to each morning and was so filling I never ate lunch once in my whole stay.
This has had to have been one of the best accommodation I have stayed in and as an International flight attendant I am fortunate to stay in some very nice hotels with my work, however this was definitely my favourite and I can’t wait to return here again in the future. Thank you Dorothy and Charles you certainly made my trip to Malta very special and one I will remember.

Beware the constant loud niose from the bars and restaurants, if you are after peace and quiet.
We stayed in the Layla Suite.
Pros:
Large room with comfortable bed. Plenty of clothes storage and very clean. Tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and iron. Water replenished daily. Two terraces, one with an amazing sea view. Breakfast was reasonable, if repetetive, with lovely homemade quiche, cake, chutney and jam. An omelette or croissant would be a good addition.
Cons:
Instant coffee at breakfast. No milk provided for coffee. Had to use the kettle on the floor due to lack of suitable plugs. No dressing table or mirror with plug nearby to use the hairdryer. Bedroom had different levels and some treacherous steps down to bathroom which people with mobility issues would find very difficult. The shower is in the bedroom and there is no door to the bathroom causing lack of privacy. No blackout curtains, needed because of lights on all night in the atrium. The noise from all the bars and restaurants below was extremely loud and relentless from late morning until very late at night making the terraces unusable for the majority of the day. Obviously this is out of the control of the hotel but some soundproofing could be installed. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the hotel for you. The furniture on the upper terrace is in dire need of replacing. There were holes in the bedding. The bedroom had a DIY feel to it. For the cost of nearly £200 a night in the low season we were expecting a more luxurious feel and top quality finish. With a few tweeks this place could be so much better, but presently the price is not justified.

Right in the middle of practically everything! Historic sites, restaurants and piazzas. Nicely restored historic building with very helpful and friendly staff (Chendra was especially helpful).

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great central location. Unfortunately that location also means a lot of noise from the neighbouring church and bars. The church bells will ring sporadically from dawn to dusk and the noise from the bars below goes on until 2am at the weekends!
Away from that, we had a beautiful room with 2 terraces! Great service at the free breakfast.
Recommended for a stay in central Valletta.
