Staff were amazing! They really went above and beyond expectations to make sure your stay is comfortable. Apartment was clean and very cool.

no margin when it comes to cleanliness: Very bad experience and possible scam

Good morning,
we booked an apartment at Puerto Marino Appart Hotel, in Al Hoceima, Morocco, from 08/13 to 08/16. Arriving there, the receptionist placed us in apartment 701; but we found that the pillow and duvet were wet as well as a water leak in the shower and the toilet tank which does not work. After the manager told us there were no more rooms available; he tried to repair the toilets, and when he couldn't, he gave us another apartment; the 202; but we discovered that the cleaning of the floor was not correct, the bathroom mats were dirty as well as a bed sheet and the sofa with cigarette holes. We asked him to refund our stay, and he told us to write to our booking platform, because there are Fees. We called them, but no way to get anyone who spoke French. We agreed to speak to a correspondent in English. He told us that he wrote to the hotel manager and that the manager should receive the message and give a response on the refund. We then waited, and after an hour, the hotel manager told us that he had not received any messages from the reservation platform. We then left the establishment and took the road to Tangier at night, a 5-hour drive.
Today, hotel managers are not answering phone calls and have told correspondents on the booking platform that they will not reimburse the stay. The icing on the cake is that I just noticed this morning twice the credit for the stay on my bank account. I immediately wrote to my bank and plans to reverse a credit card scam.
Finally, 3 nights for €600, in such a place; I have never seen that. However, I have been in hotels in Marrakech, Agadir, Casablanca, Tangier.. etc.
Advice: do not pay for your stay before going to visit the room or apprenticeship offered to you; because you risk paying a lot of money for it

Scam

That is literally the worst hotel I have been to on a hygienic level, the manager of the hotel was everything but understanding. The toilets were malfunctioning and they didn’t want to refund us even though we left without passing the night. Not only he refused to pay us back but he also charged us twice! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place absolutely.

I won’t recommend it to any one

It’s well situated in Alhoceima hotel ,the stuff in the reception are very kind and cheerful but sanitary is so bad ,not clean in all levels ,( the bed room,the shower,the sofa , etc ...),
We spent two nights ,but we couldn’t even sleep,because it’s so noisy (the noise from the street and from other guests ,who came late at night,and turn on music till 8 am in the morning (it’s too much )
In addition to all this,there is no equipment in the kitchen ,thanks to God,we had only two nights there ,otherwise,it’s a terrible experience

The hotel Is great place to stay, the bedrooms are comfortable. The only issues is the bugs in the room. Sleep was very hard due bugs wanting to bite you.
