Beautiful

Beautiful Riad with a rooftop overlooking Fes!
Nawfel's welcome was great, he's a nice person!
Clean room , very comfortable bed and breakfast at the top. I recommend this accommodation!

Would not recommend

The riad is about 200mt walk from the main road. We stayed overnight on December 26. In the evening on arrival there was a guy who spoke Italian and his welcome we did not like. He rushed us to the room and if we tried to ask for anything he seemed annoyed. The room was on the top floor and to reach it the stairs were very dangerous and without handrails. The room was also really cold, the bed uncomfortable and in the bathroom wall dripped water. The horrible dinner, we didn't eat anything apart from bread. Only the breakfast a little better and the staff present on the morning of the 27th, was very kind. I would not recommend it.

EXCELLENT

With my son, we spent 3 super good nights in 2 different rooms.
Mine on the ground floor, very clean, bright and quiet. My son on the top floor and keeps a pleasant memory of it.
We'll come back to that with great pleasure. I highly recommend this property.
Go ahead with your eyes closed.
Hats off to Nawfel, Bilal, Zakaria and the cook. Not to mention the cleaning lady who is always zagué of the slightest dust.

Adequate

This is a nice old riad not far from the entrance to the medina so close enough to walk in with cases and then within a 20 minute walk of most of the key sites in old Fes. The riad has an attractive central core.
The bedroom was comfortable and clean.
The breakfast was very large.
Unfortunately we were on the very top floor so it was a climb up and down and difficult with our bags. If you have a problem with stairs, ask for a room on a low floor otherwise this isn't for you. That said, it looks like a lot of properties in the medina are similar.
The bathroom was quite cramped and the shower curtain far too short so the water went everywhere.
There were a lot of flies on our floor (but not in the breakfast area) and there was a slight smell of cats.
The noise carries throughout the property so even on our high floor with the windows closed you could hear people talking at breakfast on the ground floor.
They don't accept credit cards so make sure you have sufficient cash to pay for your accommodation.
