In the largest Medina in the world

Riad located about ten minutes walk from the blue gate of Fes and therefore convenient to visit the city even for those arriving by car.
Good reception with the usual mint tea.
The common areas are nice but the decor could be more nice.
The room instead was very pleasant, with nice furniture and a beautiful ceramic floor.
We really enjoyed the hammam that my husband and I made as a couple but I recommend explaining better how it works (I thought I would receive the disposable panties that instead do not provide you so it is better to bring the costume).
Breakfast is enough.

Excellent location

Considering that the riads are all located within the medinas, and that Fez has the largest and oldest medieval medina in the world, a maze of more than 9,000 streets (streets and alleys), without cars, the Riad Marjana is very well located.
This Riad is located in a quiet alley and just a few meters from a street with cars, making it easy to arrive and depart by car from the riad.
I emphasize that there are numerous riads in full medina, no car access!
Riad Marjana is beautiful, with a typically Moroccan decor.
All rooms are facing the inner courtyard where breakfast is served.
The service is excellent with irreproachable cleaning.

A very nice welcoming riad

This riad is housed in an old palace or renovated like a palace because you will find all the characteristics of the palaces. Polychrome worked wood, stuck and Moroccan earthenware. So it is beautiful with a central space and a skylight around which the rooms are distributed. We visited the terrace without taking advantage of it because bad weather. The young people who work are all warm and empathetic, like many inhabitants of Fez. The breakfast was very good. Service very good in the rooms. The pool is more for aesthetics because it is more of a plunge pool. A beautiful stay

Avoid this Riad

This riad has so much potential as it is beautiful.
Seven out of 12 members in our group experienced traveler's diarrhea after eating our evening meal at the riad.
Unlike other riads we stayed in, this one did not provide any safe drinking water- we needed to provide (purchase) our own. The rooms, although updated were dirty and dated.
With so many riad options available in Fes, this is one to avoid.

Welcoming staff,
Well placed in the medina nevertheless have a guide to move, a real maze...
Air conditioning problem (hot/cold) in the room
Breakfast Service served at 8:30 instead of 8:00
So we could not have breakfast because we had a plane....
Fes is a must, especially the Medina
