A 10-minute walk from Jamaâ El Fna Square and Koutoubia Mosque, Riad Chergui features an outdoor pool (7 x 6 m) with a poolside bar. A mix of traditional and modern style, it has a rooftop terrace and a beauty centre.

We loved our stay at this charming riad. If one is looking for an authentic Moroccan experience, look no further. We loved having cold beers near the pool and enjoyed the views and calm from the rooftop.
The best part of this place though is the owner, Emanuelle. I spend about 70 nights a year in hotels for personal travel. In the 30 + years that I have been traveling, it is very rare to encounter a hotel owner/manager who takes such a personal approach to her guests. She memorized all our names (and birthdates) at check in. Every time we encountered her, she would address us by name and take time to have a quick visit with us. This made us feel like we were in a home away from home.
A stay here may very well be the best part of your trip to Morocco.

They just need to install a stronger A/C, the one on our room was closer to a weak fan rather a real A/C.
Other than that, the place is simply beautiful and the people attending you is super.

Fantastic oasis in the middle of the city
We stayed at this beautiful Riad for 4 days and had a magnificent stay. Our host Mounir was absolutely fantastic - so service minded, attentive and welcoming. Also the owner Emmanuelle and Radouane were very helpful before we arrived with questions we had prior to the stay.
Riad Chergui is a pure oasis in the middle of Marrakech which is great to get home to after a hectic day in the Medina. Breakfast was lovely and was served at the beautiful pool area - we ordered lamme tagine one evening - it tasted heavenly.
The rooms were really lovely and it was done fine clean every day.
We couldn't imagine staying in a better place in Marrakech - so atmospheric and beautiful and the requested service. Thank you to Riad Chergui for an unforgettable stay.

Negative points but great potential
I’m fortunate enough to travel the world for perspective.
Initially, we were not impressed with this accommodation. Just looked a little bit run down, leaves around just missing initial presentation. We had the last room which was room five stairs up to our room had an old town and litter on them and the next day the room along the corridor was being renovated as were the stairs which made going past not the best experience.
The room was clean, but the blanket on the bed for display was old as were the Bath robes which we didn’t wear but couldn’t help noticing that they looked like they wereover 10 years old!
Towels weren't the best hit either.
We had three black moths in our room and some mosquitoes which put us off considerably.
HOWEVER- This Riad was definitely a grower … the breakfast was wonderful. The pool was cute and had a nice bar area although quiet when we were there as I think it was the beginning of the season as lots of maintenance work was ongoing around uswhich didn’t go down particularly well when I was snoozing!
It’s cute this place, we saw the deluxe rooms and they looked lovely and I think our experience would’ve been much more positive. This Riad is very Moroccan and has the potential to be so much better so easily.
As it’s a small property, I think it would’ve been nice for the owner to come and introduce himself and chat to us which over to much prefer doing rather than on here.
The location is perfect. Down a few alleyways like most of them but very safe. We really liked the people of Morocco very friendly, not pushy.
Even though this review is slightly negative I think that if the property had been ready completely for its guests and we have been in adifferent room then I probably would have said that it had the potential to return to.

A little disappointed with our three day stay after reading so many glowing reviews. The property itself is in good condition, well decorated, and in a very good location. It's a short walk to the souks and also to a spot to hail a taxi, which made it very convenient for exploring all the popular areas in and around the medina. The big cons for us were the breakfast which consisted mainly of different types of fried breads and pastries. The meal also included some chopped fruit, a packaged yogurt, and an egg. This would probably be just fine for most folks, but we are big breakfast people and were expecting more spice/flavor. The rooms were cleaned daily but I never felt like the floors were clean.
