Insecurity, lack of respect for privacy.
We privatized the villa, but despite that, outside individuals regularly entered the garden without any authorization. On the last day, we even had to have our breakfast at 9 AM under the watchful eyes of the housekeepers and a man who were waiting for our departure, while the check-out was scheduled for 11 AM. This situation was particularly embarrassing and inappropriate.
Furthermore, we did not have the keys to the villa. A caretaker was supposed to open and close the gate, but it remained constantly open. Under these conditions, we did not feel safe at all during our stay.
We also booked several additional services, including breakfasts prepared on-site as well as lunches. However, from the very first day, these services were canceled by the host following our remarks regarding services that did not match what had been announced to us or our expectations.
Moreover, we discovered upon our arrival that cleaning was not included in the rental. We then requested to add this service, but it was also canceled from the first day. Thus, we spent four days without cleaning and without the catering services we had planned.
Finally, we chose to go through a concierge service to facilitate the organization of our stay and ensure better follow-up. Yet, our phone contact information was shared with outside individuals, which also raises questions regarding the respect of our privacy.
In light of all these elements, our experience was very disappointing and far from the level of service expected for this type of rental.

Definitely not 5 star !!
Stayed here with a friend, friendly welcome upon arrival, however that was the last friendly contact we received. We were lucky to get a hello or goodbye. Receptionist/night guard /waiter, sleeps on sofa in evening till the morning, not professional. Riad was very tired, peeling paintwork, bedrooms were clean but old rugs .No mirror in bedroom apart from bathroom.Sun loungers worn, tables dirty, Grass needed cut and hedges untidy.The material on sofas outside were torn. Windows need a good clean, can hardly see out the large one with the view. No ironing board, no bar, no Spa, even though it’s advertised as Riad Villa Spa, so false advertising.
Accommodation is approximately 20/30 min from anywhere.

Excellent kind staff
We are 4 ladies who stayed here due to our original accommodation being cancelled. We stayed for a week . What luck ! We wanted to relax in between the few excursions we took and this is exactly what we got. Staff were kind and attentive from the minute we arrived. They are so friendly and made us feel very welcome and at home. The villa is beautiful and peaceful and the pool and gardens well kept. Breakfast is very good but we weren't keen on the evening menu so they kindly made us food which we enjoyed. We really have nothing to negative to say except it is miles from nowhere, but we took plenty of snacks with us and bought drinks from when we went out. The hotel serves soft drinks and water so we wanted for nothing. One evening we asked for lemonade but they had none so we said its ok, but they went off on their motorbike to get us some ! cant stress enough how kind the staff were. I would love to return in future. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing week

Bad experience
On our second night, we arrived tired from our desert tour and asked for dinner. The receptionist treated us rudely and said we should have told him in advance that we wanted dinner. Isn't dinner the least a hotel should provide for its guests? I thought it was rude and impolite to a guest. After we insisted, he agreed to serve dinner, but we could hear him arguing with the kitchen staff from the reception desk. I think they didn't want to make us dinner either. And another really disappointing thing: our room hadn't been cleaned. We were out all day, and they didn't clean our room, our bathroom, or even change the towels. I even asked for a broom to clean it myself. In short, this male receptionist doesn't know how to be polite to guests. We appreciate being treated well and given a good welcome. The receptionist who was here at the hotel the day we arrived was very nice, very kind, very polite. A+ for him. But the second one shouldn't even be there.

Daily housekeeping is a standard service at Riad Villa Saphir & Spa in Marrakech, and we sincerely regret that this was not provided. Having to ask for a broom to clean yourself is certainly not the experience we want any guest to have.
