Rough location far away from the beach
On the positive side, the property is kept clean, despite being located in a dusty neighbourhood.
On my arrival, I was warmly welcomed by a staff member, who provided excellent local tips on places to eat and things to do, which I appreciated. Breakfast was also freshly prepared and served on the roof terrace every morning.
Apart from this, the rest of my experience here was unpleasant.
My ground-floor room was poorly ventilated and damp, which made it uncomfortable.
The booking site I used listed this property as being beachfront, but in reality, it is about a 30-minute walk from the beach along mostly dusty roads. When I raised this with one of the owners, she initially denied knowledge of the “beachfront” description, then later admitted she had asked the booking site to remove this wording from their listing.
There was also an issue with the main door which resulted in me being locked inside the property and having to call for help, as neither the owners nor staff were on-site.
After I raised a formal complaint, one of the owners insisted that I was the only guest who had experienced problems. However, I personally witnessed another guest struggling with the same door and asking for help to open it, and a staff member even warned me in advance that it was difficult to open. The owner also initially admitted that the door handle had been damaged by a previous guest, suggesting the issue was known but unresolved.
I did not stay here for the full duration of my booking, but left on my second morning after finding a more suitable and honestly described property on the beach.

Awful place, very dishonest owners, unclean and disgusting inside and outside.

Terrible place in a street full of garbage and an awful owner who promised to return our money but did not.. The owner would not answer her telephone, the place was incorrectly marked on the map, there were no photographs of the place on the booking site and no name or indication on the building that it provided accommodation. The entrance to the property was filthy, full of garbage and inside, the kitchen was just disgusting.
