Buen hotel

Very well located about 150 meters from the center, the square of arms where the stack or fountain is located, simple hotel, but very clean

What we expected.

We booked here because it was the only place in town that accept pets. Often in our travels we have had to stay is sub standard hotels because of our dog. This hotel is the best location in Chiapa de Corzo. Near central square and the river. Room was basic but very comfortable. AC worked great. They do have free parking but it is several blocks from the hotel. No problema parking on the Street right in front, as it is a peaceful, quiet Little town. Trip up the canyon was beautiful.

Underwhelming but at least it has air conditioning!

We had originally planned to stay two nights in Chiapa de Corzo but decided quickly that one night was plenty and that if we returned in the future we would stay in San Cristobal and just daytrip to Chiapa de Corzo. The hotel, like many in Mexico, has an interior courtyard which doubles as an echo chamber. It was the most expensive hotel of the three we stayed in while in Mexico this time and it was not a good value as the others were nicer. We paid 500 pesos for the night for two people. It does not have parking so we parked on the street practically in front of the hotel. The location is great as it is a very short walk to the river and to the market and town square as well. The rooms are very small and somewhat dingy. The beds and pillows are not very comfortable but nor are they horrible. The air conditioner worked well so the temperature of the room was always comfortable.

Echo Chamber!

Well, we were there at festival time in January, so noise is to be expected, but the acoustics of this hotel combined with dueling loudspeakers within a two block radius made for a noisy stay.
Day one we had clean towels and a 1 liter bottle of water.
Day 2 we asked about water and were told that we only got water on arrival. Room wasn't cleaned until around 5 and we waited outside then to get it cleaned
On the plus side they did allow an early check-in.
Had a good breakfast in market and a great boat trip up the canyon, but can not recommend this hotel.

Basic but good hotel

The rooms in this hotel are very basic. Just all the things you need: light, a bed, a closet and a bathroom. Don't expect beauty, just what you need. Although it is basic, it is very clean. Beds are nice and neat. Bathroom is also very clean. I expected lots of bugs during the evening, but I haven't seen any. The hotel is well situated. Few minutes walk from the Zocalo and a few minutes walk from the river, where you can find lots of nice restaurants. Great hotel if you like simplicity. Great hotel to stay in for a few nights.
