Rooms are spacious and service is excellent, but it needs an URGENT renovation.

I recently stayed at the Scala Magna, and my overall impression is that it is a hotel that at some point must have been a very good option, but today it starts to feel outdated for the price it charges.
The best part of the experience was the service. All the staff were very kind and attentive during my stay. I also found the hotel clean and well-maintained, something that is always appreciated.
The rooms are very spacious, much larger than those of most current hotels, which is a plus. However, much of the furniture and finishes already feel old. The carpet conveys a sense of antiquity, and the golden bedspreads give it an appearance that, in my opinion, looks more ordinary than elegant.
Another aspect I did not like was the lighting. The rooms are extremely dark, and even with the lights on, they never quite feel bright or welcoming.
It is evident that it was an important hotel a few years ago and that it retains a good structure, but it needs a significant update in design and image to match the rate it currently charges.
The location on Periférico is convenient for getting around the area, and the rooms are comfortable for resting. However, considering the price, I expected a more modern experience with better attention to detail.
In summary, I found a clean hotel with excellent service and very spacious rooms, but the facilities feel outdated. It was not a bad stay, although I do not consider the value for money to be among the best currently available.

This a solid hotel. It may not have all the frills of other places, but the staff was friendly and the lobby restaurant had a really good free breakfast in the mornings. We enjoyed our stay!

Property needs maintenance, rooms have low lighting. Restaurant is very good, breakfast (included) is excellent.
