Bright, spacious, comfortable, safe, and a great value

As others have shared, this Airbnb-style hotel has a great location just a block from Merida's main square and attractions. Great restaurants and cafes are a short walk away. All suites are on the second floor, making it easy to get in and out quickly. The suite is bright, spacious, and (mostly) clean, with a separate kitchen/dining room and bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, with dishes, a sink, a microwave, and a full-size refrigerator. The air conditioning is effective and keeps the entire suite cool. The bedroom is spacious, comfortable, and conducive to great sleep. The host is friendly and responsive and allowed me to store my luggage in the suite past check-out time to accommodate my flight. Finally, I paid 777 MXN/night total, a bargain.
The downsides: the microwave and refrigerator were dirty. The refrigerator was a manual defrost model (which I haven't seen in 20 years), and the freezer was full of thick frost. The wi-fi in the suite was weak to nonexistent. The suite lacked a desk, although the bedroom has room for one. The windows would benefit from soundproofing. I would give Puul Suites a five-star rating when these items are adequately addressed.

The place is very well located close to all the touristic attractions, bus stops, any kind of stores and a market and most importantly to the city events. The staff is friendly but make sure you understand each other well if you ask for extra cleaning. The appartment has all the minimum necessary appliances. The only missing thing is the toilet seat :) Would be great to have it installed.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

DO NOT GO THERE!!! 2 days with no water! Writing to the owner, no response or stupid answers, NO APOLOGIES. No hot water. It is sooooo noisy it's like sleeping with the windows opened. The WIFI is bad.

Ce serait une excellente adresse, tres bien placée, assez bien équipée, le lit confortable ;le contact par téléphone avec le gérant ou propriétaire était excellent. Jai pu laisser mes bagages dans l’appartement alors qu’arrivé tres tôt.
La chambre donne sur la rue très empruntée donc bruyante jusqu’à 22h environ.
Surtout, la qualité du ménage est à revoir.
