Staff was as usual: most helpful and friendly.
The Gym was a bit messy when we try to use it on Saturday morning, with furniture and appliances out of place. (Still the treadmills worked ok).
This time room was a little noisy. Maybe because of the pipes of the building.

Good hotel but horrible overall experience
We thought we could trust the manager to steer us straight, but his advice was horrendous. He should have simply told us not to put any tap water anywhere near our mouths. As a result, we've now had three significant doctor bills, prescriptions etc
Great way to ruin a vacation and ensure a truly horrible rating for the hotel. a real shame because it is extremely well located. The staff could not have been more gracious and we thoroughly enjoyed both our stay and our visits to the various restaurants
The rooftop pool is also very disappointing.
But that could have been overlooked as so many other aspects were great as was the location. But getting such horrible advice that led to major illness is unforgivable.
My son just relocated to Merida, and we were looking forward to staying there often in coming years. But we'll have to find a much better hotel. Quelle dommage.

We are sorry for the confusion about the information provided on water usage at the hotel. While the tap water in the property is considered safe for domestic use, such as washing hands, showering, and general hygiene purposes, it is not potable water and is not intended for direct consumption.
We understand your frustration, especially given the circumstances you describe, and we sincerely apologize if the information communicated during your stay was not sufficiently clear. This is certainly not the experience or impression we wish to leave with our guests.
