Fantastic weekend by the beach

We spent 3 nights on Valentine’s weekend at Maria del Mar and it was a very relaxing visit. We booked a Penthouse suite and it had amazing views of the pool and the beach. Staff were very friendly and attentive. They carried our heavy bags up and down the stairs. Night staff/ security was very friendly as well. There’s a restaurant next door where we had most of our meals. There was one whole day that we did absolutely nothing lounging in the cabana by the beach. The Mina staff brought us (happy hour) drinks and nothing is better than a margarita in Mexico by the beach. Perfect place for couples looking for a quiet few nights in Tulum.

Very poorly lit room

Room with good size and bathroom too.
However, the room is extremely dark that can not fail to make this observation.

Agradecemos mucho sus comentarios y entendemos que la iluminación de la habitación pueda parecer más tenue de lo habitual.
Nos gustaría compartir que nuestro hotel se encuentra en una zona de anidación de tortugas marinas. Durante la temporada de desove y nacimiento, es fundamental reducir al máximo la contaminación lumínica, ya que las luces intensas pueden desorientar tanto a las tortugas adultas como a las crías recién nacidas, dificultando que encuentren su camino hacia el mar.
Como parte de nuestro compromiso con la conservación de esta especie, las habitaciones y áreas cercanas a la playa cuentan con una iluminación más suave. Además, al momento de su llegada se deja en la habitación una hoja informativa con recomendaciones sobre cómo actuar en caso de encontrar tortugas o crías en la playa, con el fin de protegerlas y contribuir a su conservación.
Agradecemos su comprensión y apoyo a estas iniciativas ambientales que nos permiten cuidar uno de los recursos naturales más valiosos de nuestro destino.

Nice boutique hotel facing the sea.

It is a small family-run hotel, with direct access to a small beach shared with several similar hotels. It is a very proper and quiet hotel, with a beautiful area around the pool. The interaction with the employees was very personal. Unfortunately, we encountered a large amount of sargassum, so we could not enjoy the beach. Also, since it was low season, the restaurant was closed, although we could enjoy the one at the adjacent hotel. And you find other nearby establishments located on the same road.

The hotel is very cute has nice pool and direct access to the beach ️ very attentive and friendly staff liked this one there would definitely come back

Amazing place!

We had an amazing stay Maria Del Mar. We stayed 4 nights in the seaview balcony suite and had a large comfortable room with a great view from the balcony.
The hotel has a private beach shared with the hotel next door, and it was really chilled and quiet, with plenty of sunbeds and a beautiful view. There's also an incredible panoramic sea view from the deck next to the beach. Having breakfast on the beach every morning was perfect! The hotel is also located in a great part of Tulum, very chilled but with loads of great bars and restaurants nearby.
The staff were great too, big thanks to Santiago who organised a private boat trip where we swam with turtles - ask for the boat trip with Kiké, it was incredible. 100% recommended and we will definitely stay here again if we go back to Tulum!!
