The staff were sweet and the restaurant was great. However there is a general lack of maintenance . Wasn’t just us, on speaking to other guests they all had issues with their rooms.
We had three rooms
1) First room had a leak in the roof- occasionally. Probably when upstairs was showering
2) Second room -Electricity kept tripping and needed to be continually requested to switch back on
3) third room had an underground leak which FLOODED the entire room. Twice! Eventually after 2 nights of camping in other peoples rooms, we were Offered another room. Upstairs, no self catering, no apology or refund.
It’s unfortunate because otherwise it’s a great place to stay. However we will not be going back

We booked and prepaid five nights but checked out after one night (30 to 31 December) because the room did not meet basic expectations. The room was generally unclean and poorly maintained. The AC did not work properly and made unusually loud noises at night. The bathroom had a strong unpleasant odor, a cracked and stained sink, damaged taps, and at times there was no running water. The toilet cistern was leaking and made loud continuous noise. The curtain did not fully cover the glass door facing the external walkway, reducing privacy. Sound insulation was very poor and the floor and structure vibrated noticeably when people walked outside.

Horrible experience!

Unbelievable audacity!
My friend became ill during the last days of our stay. I took care of him until he improved and made sure local friends kept an eye on him and helped him until he was also ready to leave. Just moments before getting into the taxi to the airport, the hotel staff, with unbelievable audacity, approached my taxi driver and prevented him from leaving and taking me, because of my sick friend, who was already feeling better and resting in his room.
This outrageous behavior almost ruined my ride to the airport and nearly caused damage of hundreds of dollars due to missing my flight. It is completely unclear where the hotel staff get the right to restrict my freedom of movement and interfere with service providers I hired. Simply disgraceful behavior.

The rooms were very basic yet clean. The kitchen was equipped with enough for basic cooking and to make coffee.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in the house for much had an amazing view of the ocean. The views from the bedroom and living room windows were breathtaking. We were right on the beach. We could see the whales and dolphins every morning. Make sure to bring your binoculars!
There are two pools but we did not swim as it was the end of September and not warm enough for us. The food was decent, staff a little slow but this is Africa and the ocean where most are very chill and laid back.
