Nice hotel

Beautiful hotel with small small logde's , spread room,, nice service . The hotel is about 20 minutes farther walk from the Kalaw markets on the way to Hnee pagada at little high . Best thing is not that noisy there..!

beautiful lodge - staffs are very helpful
but NO Wi-fi..no line phone and no phone to contacts each bangalow-
water heater is broken and we had hard time to have a shower in cold weather

Friendly Staff and Clean Hotel

I had stayed in this hotel from 10 march n 11 march.We stayed there with my family of five persons.We took 2 rooms with one extra bed.The room were quite large for a small hotel.First we thought that it was far from the town center but it was'nt.It is half way between the center of town and Hnee Pagoda(Bamboo Pagoda).The breakfast was quite nice,Coffee, Tea, egg to order,toast,fruit juice,fruits, jam and butter.The next day we were asked what we would like to eat.We ordered Shan foods and fried Tofu.The staffs were willing to help us what ever we need.They even drove their motor bike and lead us to the way to a nearby restaurant Home Again.Their internet was quite fast compare to other hotel that we travel this week from Bagan to TaungGyi.First we think the road might be noisy but it was not.The bungalow outside was brick wall and the interior was wood so it was quite nice to control the temperature.Even in March the room temperature was quite nice.The price was very reasonable 20USD for a room and 10USD for an extra bed.Which is quite cheap and roomy compare to other Hotel in Kalaw which we had looked.

Clean, nice staff

My husband and I stayed here twice now. It is a bit from town. It seems that most of their guests come with a tour group and have some sort of transportation. We really enjoyed taking walks right from the hotel up the hill. Very quickly you can be in the country hiking up some hills which overlook the small town. We saw some beautiful scenery. The staff are very friendly and like another reviewer said, they tend to be watching your every move at breakfast. They are very kind, offering tea at different times and even gave me a gift when they found out it was my birthday. They keep the rooms clean and were happy to do laundry for us for a small fee. Our room was quiet and they gave us extra blankets since we were there in cold season. I recommend the place if you are aware that you will be outside of the town. I saw places in town to rent a bicycle- maybe that would be your best option.

Good and far

The hotel is rather nice. We had a big room, with various covers (it is very cold by night!) and complementary avocado :)
The breakfast was good: no buffet, but they try to bring you everything.
The place is very far from Kalaw, so you have to walk 20 minutes to go down: unfortunately the hotel do not provide any means to go to Kalaw, which is a pity, since it would be a useful option for the guests by night, when there is basically no street lights. The hotel doesn't have a good map either... This makes the hotel not a good option if you travel alone.
They arranged for us a taxi to go and visit Pindaya and we paid directly the taxi driver, which was good.
Close to the hotel a nice tek pagoda.
