charming

Located in a lovely traditional village in the Harz ‘mountains’, Flora is an equally delightful place to stay. It’s basically an apartment-hotel, with an in-house restaurant, serving excellent breakfasts and evening meals – I had there an absolutely superb vegan Thai red curry. I paid about 100 € for a spacious suite with balcony, including breakfast, and there were no hidden charges – car parking on site was free. The only minor downside was the absence of a lift: access to the upper floor rooms was by a staircase only. It also took me a while to master the electronic doorlocks! Overall, this is a really charming place to stay.

Just a great hotel.friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommended

The apartments are just great.
Everything you need is there.
Spacious and very clean.
Restaurant great food at reasonable prices.
Breakfast buffet good and plentiful
Conditions and staff friendly and competent.
The Hotell Flora can be recommended very well .

Nice find

On a motorcycle tour in the Harz mountains and found this very nice apartment hotel. One bedroom, sitting room and kitchen diner with balcony. Very clean and nicely furnished. Family run, friendly with an extensive breakfast buffet. Very good value at 85 euros per night. Ideally located for some great biking roads.

An excellent hotel in a scenic region of central Germany

We spent four days at this hotel while trekking on the well marked trails in the area. The family run owners are extremely hospitable and the hotel rates are exceptionally reasonable. Their efficiency apartments are well maintained, impeccably clean and comfortable. The half pension plan with breakfast and dinner were plentiful, tasteful and well prepared by the owner chef. There is a great large indoor public salt water pool right across the street to which the hotel guests have free access. Not to be missed.
A former mining town, The pretty town of Bad Grund is in a valley of the Harz region of Germany. There are many interesting sites to be seen while hiking in the area.

Positive Atmosphäre in einem sehr schönen Hotel. Mitarbeiter*innen sind sehr freundlich. Gute Küche, sehr guter Service

Im Rahmen einer Familienfeier war ich für vier Tage in das Parkhotel Flora eingeladen. Es war ein perfektes Wochenende. Die Zimmer - es sind eher geräumige Appartements, entweder für zwei oder bis zu vier Personen konzipiert - sind großzügig, sehr gemütlich, werden fortlaufend renoviert, alle sind mit Balkon oder Terrasse ausgestattet. Besonders möchte ich die Freundlichkeit und das Zuvorkommen aller Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen hervorheben. Neben einer sehr guten Küche war das wirklich das Highlight, egal ob Service, Küche oder Housekeeping, wir haben uns immer willkommen gefühlt, alle waren stets freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Während es in Bad Grund sicher einige Ecken gibt, die ahnen lassen, dass es schon bessere Zeiten hier gab, ist das Parkhotel Flora liebevoll gepflegt, man merkt, dass die Inhaber es mit viel Herzblut betreiben, Spaß an der Sache haben. Nachmittags gibt es tolle selbstgemachte Torten und Kuchen, die Nachfrage am "Vatertag" war extrem, das brachte zwar Wartezeiten mit sich, ich habe aber selten Servicemitarbeiter gesehen, die einen solchen Ansturm sehr professionell und schnell, dabei gleichzeitig entspannt, freundliche und gelassen bewältigten. Insgesamt ein äußerst positives Fazit. Sehr zu empfehlen!
