Gladly ☺️ again

Very friendly staff with good service. Everything clean, well equipped and very well maintained. Beautiful old sanded floors, tastefully decorated, matching bathroom. However, on the street side with cobblestones very noisy, from morning and until evening. Church bells very idyllic. Rooms facing the courtyard are quiet. Very good food with good beer from homebrewery. Highly recommended breakfast with organic products, fresh bread etc. Perfect service and pleasant times. Also sauna offered, thermal cabin, towels and bathrobe service.

somewhat disappointing stay

We booked the apartment as the photos showed parquet everywhere. Unfortunately, this was deceptive. In the bedroom was a little old carpet! Not very healthy for allergy sufferers... The extra room can hardly be used, because the one who always has to go through the bedroom to get into the bathroom or toilet! The kitchenette was very sparsely equipped. Had we wanted to cook or eat here, even for 2 people would have been too few dishes. At breakfast we were also very disappointed. No scrambled eggs, no fried eggs. The boiled eggs lay in a basket without heat. But the bread was very good. Unfortunately, the possible coating was not very variable.

There are better options locally

We stayed in 2 hotels in Bad Kötzting within 2 weeks. We will definitely NEVER come back here! (see other reviews)
POSITIVES:
- the rustic room doors and the historical furniture in the hallway
- parking spaces in the courtyard
NEGATIVES:
- we were greeted very unfriendly
- no questions asked, no service offered
- 1st room was UNACCEPTABLE. Table was upside down on the furniture, duvet was moved to an armchair, etc. Pure chaos. Back at reception NOT A SINGLE WORD OF APOLOGY, an estimated 2/3 of the hotel was empty... until they finally decided which room we would get as a replacement.
- next room was OK, but not great.
- the only thing that was great was the ventilation system that went through the anteroom and was constantly running...
- spring mattress - I know this because I felt the springs.
- tiny bathroom where you could hardly get to the toilet.
CONCLUSION:
- once, NEVER AGAIN.
- we considered changing hotels after one night.
- There are much better places in the town where we were 2 weeks earlier (see further review)

Good stay with all offerings

Great stay for one night as I was on a bicycle tour thru Bavaria. Very good restaurant as also the breakfast, really good food and a broad variety of offerings. in the Beer garden the home brew as well as other beers were very tasty and refreshing. The room was "historic" with very old doors and locks, implemented with new locks and moderns amenities. My sleep was very good even it was to main street but very quiet during the night. Service was very friendly and helpful at all time, especially at my check in as I had a very early at 12 noon, but no problem the kitchen service was helpful and sopping the break handing me the key easily. Hotel restaurant is located in the center of the city all easy to reach in walking distance. Thanks for the hospitality Ill come back!

Old Style - it was wonderful

Nice friendly people, we were very spoiled. Very good food. Sometimes a bit loud but it did not bother much.
In this nice place a really good point for exploring the country. We come back in summer this Year..
