A really lovely pearl
A really lovely pearl
We were here for 7 days and everything was just perfect.
We played golf every day and were challenged in our games. We stayed with breakfast and dinner and there was plenty of everything. Overall a really good place.

Unfortunately, completely off
Very nicely located hotel complex in a quiet area on Lake Balmer. The hotel was clean and the room was great. Unfortunately, the Service in the hotel is grottobad by we think missing staff. On the day of arrival (Saturday) the hotel transferred the dinner for half board to the Steakhouse at short notice. Things were going on there like on the station premise. About 70 guests for two totally overwhelmed waiters. They tried very hard, but had no chance at all. The steakhouse was totally overcrowded, drinks we could then order after we were almost done with food (buffet). We had to pay for what we did in the hotel at the reception. There is a menu in the spa area, unfortunately it was not possible to order any of them on Sunday and Monday. According to the lady at the spa reception always the same saying "I have equal treatment and lack of staff". This shouldn't really happen in a 4.5 star hotel. You sometimes felt like a disturbing person. The hotel is therefore not recommended for us. It's a shame, as the hotel is beautiful in itself.

Not recommended.
When booking: Selection for a quiet room was very well supported. We have deliberately decided on a renovated double room as the facility seems to have a renovation jam, unfortunately this was confirmed on site.
The renovated double room was actually nice, but a skylight was completely without blackout. There was no response to our questions about this. The bathroom to the room was equipped with a bathtub that was to be used as a shower - not up to date! Then there was a shower stool - nicely meant, but perhaps better to provide on demand. Surface-mounted fittings and no Softclose WC - all just according to the motto cheap!
So it went on at breakfast. A fully automatic machine for the entire hotel. Bowls for herring etc. were missing altogether, the salmon never came back, bread and rolls as frozen goods!? Embarrassing, so whether no baker could deliver locally. No, we can not recommend it, as we will not come back ourselves. Oh yes, a place in the garage was recommended to us, however, there was no mention of swallows breeding there (positive), but their legacies unfortunately damage the car paint. So better park outside.

Ok but not anymore
Nice hotel resort, looks smaller in the pictures, is unfortunately very large. The wellness area was totally overcrowded for a week, we never (!) got a lounger - also because everything is occupied here although the people are not there at all. The hotel doesn't seem to care. Massages also all booked up every day. Golf is also full, you always play in 4er Flight without paying attention to whether someone is walking or using a cart. The food was very good but unfortunately the Service not at all. We waited 20 minutes to order something, drinks were only delivered to the main course, plates not cleared. Unfortunately, everything seems very uncoordinated. Audience partly very arrogant and unfriendly. Other golf clubs say hello. Doesn't seem to be the case here. Rooms or suites were very nice and cleaning very good. Nevertheless, on the whole not really a relaxing holiday. Too bad!

Balmer See
Are here again for a week. Have really enjoyed our stays so far. Nice golf courses, rooms and food OK, so far also very friendly staff. Now it is the case that no more drinks are served on the very nice restaurant terrace. When asked, a Polish waiter harshly rebuked me that this was now the new service concept of the restaurant manager. When I asked this one, I was told equally harshly that the personnel costs had increased by about 50% in recent years and therefore one would unfortunately have to proceed like this (!!??). Well, ours is no longer surprised that nothing is going on here....
