Excellent for attending the Bayreuth Festival. The hotel provides a bus for €9 from right outside the hotel to the Festspielhaus and then back again after the end of the performance.

It depends on the room choice

The classic hotel on the edge of the city center is privately run. Parking in front of the building and in the underground garage is subject to a fee. The breakfast area is too small for the many rooms.
It is recommended to take a room away from the front or towards the back, where the street cannot be heard. Otherwise, you wake up at night because of testosterone-fueled men showing off their so-called driving skills or who have not yet discovered their own alcohol level.
Otherwise, the hotel is standard, as is the breakfast. The restaurant area for the evening is oversized, but perhaps that is due to group travel.
The staff at the reception is friendly, but in some parts also a bit disorganized.

Nice discovery.

Business trip this time, with a training organized in Bayreuth.
Stay at the Rheingold Hotel, an establishment that truly meets expectations: comfortable room, really excellent bedding, and a breakfast that is as varied as it is delicious to start the days off right. ☕
A work break made much more pleasant thanks to a warm welcome and quality comfort. ✨

Bad hotel "no 4 stars"

This hotel is not rated 4 stars.
First of all, the good: The location is good.
Now the negative.
The rooms are very old and noisy.
Old fashioned tub 1 outlet in the room, a mini TV. no safe in the room (although this is required for 4 stars) and no minibar. But the biggest joke is breakfast. I've been to over 100 hotels, even with 1,000 rooms. The volume there trumped everything, like in the football stadium.
The choice of food for 19.50 euros is a joke.
Stayed 2 weeks ago at a 3 star hotel in Spain. This was a completely different world than a German 4-star hotel.
Hot food was served with only scrambled eggs, Nuremberg sausages and a day of Weißwürste. The other day they left that out and “warm” would be exaggerated. There was no hot juice from the bottle, no coffee machine, no bacon and co., which is standard everywhere. What I've really never experienced, not even in a boarding house. You should pay 3.50 euros extra for the fried egg and 6 euros for the omelet. Extra to the 19.50 euros. What is available for free in any other hotel under 4 stars and in any country. As justification: The fried egg is freshly prepared at our premises. Don't all the dishes get freshly prepared... fingers off the hotel. Parking According to their brochures in the room 10 Euro underground parking and 8 Euro in front of the house. In reality it costs 12 euros (which is still okay), their brochures are just as wrong as their photos. In the hotel you should pay extra for everything.

Disappointing

The room was actually very cheap - BUT: 12€ garage, 19,50€ breakfast (a real cheek for quantity / quality - especially if as with me a group was there before and is not refilled...), “restaurant” below average and expensive and the check out unfriendly and arrogant. But it was far from favourable...
