Walkable from most attractions,breakfast included,lot of places to eat nearby,tube,bus stop nearby

We stayed here for three nights.
The pros
Central location.it took us only 11 mins to walk from bode museum to here.Brandenburg gate is also walkable.we did a mix of public transport and walking.
There are lovely Italian places nearby to eat.
you can see the bunker from your room.the musical theatre place is only few yards away.
The breakfast was variety of breads,juices,cheeses,meats,sausages and boiled egg.there were no beans or omelette.we were not bothered by that,as the cook kept topping up everything constantly.
The staff were lovely too and internet worked fine too.
My review is,if you are a person who would rather see the place than sit in the hotel,this place is fine for you.
I couldn't find another place with breakfast and central location for the price.
Minor cons were,there was less lighting in the room and they could get a 4 bread toaster.
We had a lovely time and would recommend this place.

Good but some inconveniences

The TV had no signal which was a bummer ss it was advertised and we were looking forward to watching the euros. There is also no cooling or heating which was a problem. This is all I have to say…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

The first and the last time

I stayed at the Hotel Amelie with my girlfriend for a week. Unfortunately, I have to say that the pictures we saw of the hotel are not accurate. There was no carpet everywhere, there was linoleum everywhere. The TV was a joke, according to the lady at reception there were supposed to be 400 channels, we finally found about 15 and some of them were duplicates. The normal channels like RTL, SAT1 or Vox were encrypted.
The bathroom was very small. If you opened the window you could look into the bathroom next door (if your neighbor had theirs open too).
There were no toothbrush cups either.
No sign of WiFi either, my cell phone didn't accept it because it was too insecure.
Breakfast wasn't exactly great either. The rolls and everything else was definitely from Aldi. That wouldn't even be the worst thing, but some of the rolls were burnt or from the day before, otherwise they would have tasted different.
Conclusion: The only good thing about the hotel is the location. If I go to Berlin again, I won't stay there a second time.

Very disappointing

I’d say that staying at Hotel Amelie is like staying in the spare room of someone who doesn’t like you.
You are in a kind of box room, with a bed that is smaller than you. You will be woken up before 8am by a crashing of bins being taken out and/or put back. Breakfast is entirely made of long-life processed food, presumably so it can be taken away, stored and put back the next day. Not very appetising.
There is supposed to be wi-fi. It will not work in your room. If you go to the reception area it will work, but so slowly that it is no use for any practical purpose in the 21st century. I don’t understand how it is even possible to have an internet connection that works at 300kbps/s (dial-up modem speed) in 2023, but here it is. If you explain your predicament, the staff will reveal that they have another network that works perfectly well, but of course not in your room. So a bit useless if you’re working while you’re here, as the “reception” area where the wi-fi works isn’t open a lot of the time.
If this was a hotel you’d be able to get a coffee pretty much any time, either making it in your room or at reception, possibly by paying for it. But reception is closed and there’s no coffee there anyway, and you have no facilities in your room (not even water glasses), so forget that.
Overall, if you’re not planning to sleep, eat breakfast, work, or drink coffee while you’re in Berlin, it’s fine. But otherwise you’d be better off somewhere else.

Cheap and clean

Very cheap hotel with clean rooms. Beds are hard and uncomftable and the Breakfast is poor and the service is almost none existent. They clean the rooms daily and change towels. But again its cheap and not noisy.
