A lovely, clean hotel in an excellent location
A lovely, clean hotel in an excellent location. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. I highly recommend it!

Overall dusty, mouldy, unmaintained

- stored luggage

- dirty and not maintained well
- smells moist, mouldy, dusty
- shower see through and connected to bedroom and thereby ceiling moulding
- shower substantially leaking and tiles lifting
- nowhere on the shower a shelf to put toiletries
- entry door locked and only rotating one available, which is hard when you have two suitcases and one person
Only stayed one night, otherwise would have gone elsewhere.
There’s plenty I’m this price range around the area - avoid this one.

This was a solid hotel for a solo traveler that was a nice midpoint between museum island and the Brandenburg gate. Not the most aesthetic area, but functional. The staff weren’t particularly friendly or helpful, but it was fine.

Terrible treatment from all the staff. Very basic, dirty, and noisy rooms, with a very high price for what they offer. There are much better options in Berlin, not recommended at all.

LACK OF HUMAN TREATMENT. YOU ARE UNACCEPTABLE
LACK OF HUMAN TREATMENT. I had a family problem due to my father's serious admission to the hospital; I offered them the medical report, it is a force majeure event, and even so, they charged me the cancellation fees (an entire night). I wrote to them and they didn't care, I contacted Booking because of the seriousness of the problem and they didn't care either. If this is the case in a serious personal situation, you cannot expect anything good and everything else does not matter. It is important that potential customers know what kind of hotel it is and how they treat people.

Nevertheless, in the interests of transparency, we would like to set the record straight: The amount charged is by no means an arbitrary decision, but rather a standard no-show fee.
You failed to cancel your booking in good time. Under the terms of the contract, you could have cancelled your booked four-bed room free of charge without any issues until 6.00 pm on the day of arrival. As this was not done, we kept the room reserved and ready for you throughout the night, which meant it was no longer economically viable for us to reallocate the booking to another guest.
It is regrettable that the consequences of this failure on your part are now being attributed to our establishment in your review. We adhere to transparent booking rules that are fair to all guests, and to which we are bound.
For such unforeseeable events and travel emergencies, taking out travel cancellation insurance is essential – we therefore strongly recommend that you claim the costs incurred through your insurance provider.
