The host, receptionist, cook/chef and waitress Miss Souad was absolutely wonderful. She was very professional, kind and helpful. The hotel is very charming, relaxing and quiet; great for a soothing restful night of sleep.

Our room in this hotel was "different" in a mostly positive way. The "Gulliver" room was roomy, very unique in its decorations, cool (a large fan helped) and pleasant to be in. The bathroom was up five steps and imbedded in the rocky side of the hill (hard to describe its uniqueness). All of the usual necessities were there, but positioned a little awkwardly because of the structure of the room. They all functioned well and were just "different." The whole combination was a nice experience. The breakfast was worthy, in a nicely appointed eating area. The hotel does not have a lot of amenities (no fitness area, pool, or spa), but it is well positioned in the town amongst the historic buildings of the old town. The staff were professional and helpful when asked. There is limited parking and it should be requested when making a reservation. It is helpful to have a small car, since the size of the parking spaces will scare most Americans.

I was just here for dinner

The food was fine, the wine recommendation too. However, it was once again striking that I was put at a "cat table" as a solo trip, while the solo traveler gentleman of course received a nice and comfortable table.

Unique themed hotel

Located on the edge of the pedestrian zone, this small hotel offers very individually furnished rooms equipped with great attention to detail to a different fairy tale. The RAPUNZEL room has a bedroom, sitting area and spacious living room, a screened terrace with seating area and a hot tub. However, the name should not tempt the hotel to focus on children. Rather, everything is targeted at couples. For example, Finnish sauna, bathtub and large Jacuzzi in the spa area can only be reserved privately for a certain time at an additional fee. In the partly very old building fabric everything is extremely clean. However, there is no elevator. The breakfast is quite sufficient, the staff friendly. The associated restaurant offers a manageable selection of good quality, but the emphasis is clearly on the hotel. My review therefore relates exclusively to the hotel.

Everything was excellent! We had a horrible experience at a different hotel the previous night and messaged the staff at this hotel for a possible early check in. They responded and were able to get us our hotel room, Schneewittchen, as soon as we arrived! They were excellent! They changed our vacation to a positive one and the property and people were wonderful!
