Clean fair-priced hotel for your stay in Braunschweig

We stayed two nights in this hotel while we were visiting friends in the city. Our hotel room was simple but clean and more than enough for our short stay. It had 2 single beds (even though we booked a double room...) a small kitchen and a private bathroom with a shower.

Vielen Dank für die gute Bewertung. Es ist immer etwas schwierig, wenn die Übersetzung in den Buchungsportalen nicht einwandfrei ist. Sie haben ein "Double-Room" gebucht. Nur "Double-Room" ist nicht "Double-Bed". Und tatsächlich haben Sie auch ein Doppelzimmer bekommen. Nur der Begriff Doppelzimmer steht nicht für Doppelbett. Es bedeutet einfach, dass in diesem Zimmer 2 Betten stehen bzw. für 2 Personen Betten vorhanden sind. Bei uns sind in allen Zweibett-Appartements Einzelbetten.

Property OK But Host Attitude AWFUL

Beware of the host, he can turn and get very angry at you for no reason, threatening legal action for bills that have already been paid because he doesn't know how to use online banking.
Sarcasm, swearing, aggression is not the way to treat your paying customers.

Leider gibt es immer wieder unwahre Behauptungen, die ich aber auch nicht wiederlegen kann. Herr K. ist daher im Vorteil. Tut mir sehr leid für andere interessierte Personen, dass sie sich diese Lügengeschichte durchlesen müssen. Eine Entfernung lässt das Portal von TRIPADVISOR leider nicht zu. Herr Skott K. war zu keinem Zeitpunkt Hotelgast. Gruss Michael Brand

I visited in November and December 2015

I am not sure about the prices as my company put me there on several business trips. The apartments are clean and well equipped. The rooms get cleaned daily unless you specify otherwise. My problem was that when they cleaned the room they always turned the heat down and when I got back from work it was always cold and I do need the heat. Other than that, city center is about a 30 min walk away. You have a huge fitness and wellness center right next to the facility. Supermarket and a couple of restaurants within max 10 min of walking distance. Free parking and free Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is a public hot-spot and is pretty unreliable and breaks often.

Clean and almost perfectly equiped

The apartments are great, clean and perfectly equiped. The WiFi (Wlan connection) was terrible, the only place of the room where there is some connection is in the bathroom but it jumps the whole time. Don't count on the wifi for skype or secure connection. The reception hours are quite limited, in two weeks i only found it open once, at 1800 or sooner it is closed.
Despite of everything one manages to feel at home and the terrible wifi is better than what I've experienced in many german hotels.

Great appartements in Braunschweig

I stayed here for two weeks in Sept 2009. The place is an old hotel renovated into apartments. The renovation was finished in the beginning of 2009, it still smells new.
The location is outside the city center along a main road, a large supermarket is 500m away (open till 22:00). In the middle of the road is a tram which can take you to the center for about 2 euros. There is a restaurant located at the ground floor of the building, I did not go there though.
Just behind the apartment building is a nice green area with a lake. Perfect for jogging, a lap around the lake is about 2km.
My experience with the manager was very positive, very friendly and helpful.
Pluses:
- Only apartment complex in Braunschweig (that I know)
- Very new
- Very friendly manager
- Nice large green area just behind the hotel (you can walk to the city center along the river oker (about 30 min))
Minuses:
- Along busy street, with windows open quite noisy.
- Refrigerator in the room is quite noisy
