The hotel simply invites you to linger and relax. Great ambience

We, my wife and I, on our way back to Leipzig and from Leipzig and stayed in this great hotel. The service was excellent, the room was very clean and large so we could take the collapsible wheelchair inside. A small terrace that we could enjoy in the sunshine was accessible through the patio door. The staff was very attentive without being intrusive, always responsive and very polite. The afternoon cake was homemade and the evening meal was very tasty. The outside area was very nice and tastefully prepared and invited to linger. There was only one small drop of wormwood. The water in the indoor pool was a few degrees too cold. Just a moment in and then out. We are planning a tour of the Harz Mountains next year. The starting point for us would be this hotel again.

Restaurant Aquarius never again!!️

We were here for dinner today 26.12.25 and it was a single disaster
The building outside and inside definitely needs renovation, and there were so many guests to the buffet on site that there was a waiting in line at the
Buffet of 45 min gave (if the food had been good you would have liked to wait ) but the quality of the food was also a disaster
The meat was tough, potatoes were half raw and at dessert the baked apples were raw and not from the oven☹️
All in all, it wasn't worth the expensive money we paid and we weren't the only ones who complained and felt it was a disaster.
The only commendable mention is the service which despite all the efforts and were friendly
For us it was the last time we visited this place !!️

Very disappointed after a day’s driving

Having been at this hotel on my way to Gdansk I specially I arranged to come on my return to Uk.
We do this return trip from London to Gdansk once or twice a year. Usually we just pull off the motorway and find a hotel that has a Resturant and allows dogs. Not a problem in Germany
However this trip we booked this hotel to save bother and because I would be driving home on my own with the dog.
Today for me after 11 or so hours on the road, good German food and a beer is a reward for the days driving. So what a sadness for me to be told on arrival at 7 pm after leaning Poland at 8:30am in the morning that the hotel I was so looks forward to getting to only had an Italian buffet for evening meal. Not what I want in Germany.
Now I go to Italy often and am a good cook and the food on offer was not anything like Italian. The lasagne had no béchamel sauce and the bolognaise ( if that’s what it was) had a very wet watery sauce. The grated cheese was from I don’t know where!
Desert- ice cream or nothing. I don’t like ice cream.
Incidentally, I have not asked the cost of this food. My mistake. Let’s see in the morning!
Last time we came my wife and I had a good meal and a good evening and that’s why I came back.
Not again I’m afraid.
Someone should/could have told me when I booked ,only a week ago , that there might be a problem with their refurbishment of the kitchens and not allow guests to turn up and be offered such a poor fare.
No one was particularly apologetic and just shrugged their shoulders.
I’m exhausted and will go off to bed soon - not content and relaxed.
What a shame.

Terrible ! I stayed at the hotel three nights, room 17, I paid 61 € per night. Very old furniture, which along with the carpet and curtains are impregnated with a smoke of cigarette.
Although reservation was a non-smoking room, I received a room in which for many decades nothing has been repaired or replaced and heavily soaked with cigarette smoke. Disgusting! Breakfast limited. Packing and the road to the hotel in mud and puddles.
Never this hotel !

Budget Hotel in the middle of the woods!

Small (feels like family owned) hotel, good to get some rest while traveling.. I stayed one nigth during a business trip. Wifi is included on rate, B-Fast is reasonable European style. There is no elevator, so pack ligth in case you stay in a room on second floor. I had a room with two single water beds. Room is medium size. I have stayed on smaller rooms while in Europe. I had a nice walk in the morning. I will define this hotel as a budget hotel. It is very convenient for my road trips from Luxembourgh to Wolfsburgh.
