Wellness oasis
We were very satisfied with our time off at Pfalzblick. Spacious modern double room Lindelbrunn with balcony, fantastic shower, and separate toilet; we felt comfortable right away. Additionally, the wellness pension with generous inclusive services (e.g., all non-alcoholic drinks all day) was particularly special. Great the sauna island and the Wasgau Lake (swimming pond). Unique hiking opportunities from the hotel into the Dahner rock landscape. Good parking options.

A good hotel, but it is not enough for top-class.
We spent a long weekend in the Southern Palatinate. The Hotel Pfalzblick quickly caught our eye during our search. It comes across as resort-like and is located great in the beautiful Dahn Rock Country, not far from the Palatinate wine region, which I appreciate so much. We felt comfortable there and also ate well. The Lindelbrunn room was wonderful and completely new. Let us now come to the small drawbacks that distinguish the hotel from truly first-class ones. After all, you pay well over €500 per night for the aforementioned. Rooms well over €500 per night. There are also cheaper rooms, but they are equipped with a tiny bathroom from the 80s. This is in urgent need of revision. As I said, the food was delicious and most of the service staff (at check-in, at dinner, on the terrace) were very helpful and friendly. The salad bar was very simple and unfortunately only varied minimally over the days. The great selection of Palatinate wines was pleasant. Whether the clientele for Ch. Petrus (€7000 a bottle) or Ch. Cheval Blanc finds its way here, I dare to doubt. The garden areas (outside of the truly beautiful natural pool area) were somewhat unkempt: The lawn was largely dried out and overgrown with weeds. In some places, you walked on gravel paths that looked as if they had not been finished. On the terrace, weeds were growing between the tiles, which could be removed with little effort. We also noticed all sorts of clutter in the corners that does not belong there. We noticed a few small oversights that really should not happen for a hotel with this standard: Three examples: If the hotel owners are going to take a tour through the guest areas to make small talk, then they should at least pretend that all guests are interesting and valued. At the very least, one can feign minimal interest during small talk. If you are going to ask questions, you should also wait for the answer and not immediately turn away and head to the next table with a stony expression. A guest notices this. 2.: The colleague, an older gentleman who assigns the tables in the restaurant, does not seem to like his job. We never saw him smile. To our friendly question of whether we could still get a table on the terrace for dinner in the nice weather, the only answer was "Everything's full." Such a grouch... On the second evening, we sat on the terrace for dinner. Since it had rained 2 hours earlier, the couch cushions had been cleared away and the coffee tables were still wet. Hours later, some guests did join the lounge furniture in the bright sunshine after all. However, cushions were only available upon explicit request. Some guests sat on the bare frames of the furniture and the service staff walked past them for hours without a comment or an offer of cushions. That is not acceptable for a 4*+ establishment. Some of this may be due to the staff shortage in Germany, but for that reason, this hotel is 20% too expensive. Our favorite hotel, a 5-star establishment in South Tyrol, costs €600 a night, includes Michelin-starred cuisine, and has service that is second to none. Unfortunately, we measure all others against it. However, we all enjoyed it. Everything was pleasing. I hope the comments reach the right people, if applicable.

Price/performance ratio for the room is not acceptable for us!
We had the Jakobsfels room. Unfortunately, these rooms are no longer up to date, and for €258 per person per day, the price/performance ratio is definitely not justified. I cannot charge this price for such a room! The pond, sauna, and swimming pool are very nice, the service was very friendly, and the breakfast was very good.

Wir teilen Ihren Standpunkt jedoch nicht. In unserem Haus stehen 13 verschiedene Zimmertypen zur Verfügung. Somit können potentielle Gäste ganz nach ihren eigenen Prioritäten und selbstverständlich auch nach der persönlichen Kaufkraft und Zahlungsbereitschaft ihr Wunschzimmer auswählen. Auf unserer Homepage kommunizieren wir sehr offen in Wort und Bild, was man beim jeweiligen Zimmertyp bekommt. Sie haben sich für die preisgünstigste Variante entschieden. So eine Entscheidung kann durchaus sinnvoll sein, wenn jemand auf das Zimmer nicht so großen Wert legt, weil die Person in erster Linie die vielen großzügigen Annehmlichkeiten im Resort genießen möchte. Es sollte einem allerdings schon klar sein, dass das billigste Zimmer nicht zugleich das schönste und modernste Zimmer ist. Ein gewisser Mindestpreis ist trotzdem erforderlich, weil unsere Leistungen weit über die reine Benutzung eines Zimmers hinausgehen. Dafür bitte ich herzlichst um Ihr geschätztes Verständnis.

Just a short break to unwind - this is the right place for us
We have been to the hotel for the 4th time and we are very happy to return.
We want to highlight the atmosphere that all the staff create. With their unobtrusive friendliness and customer orientation. This, combined with the very well-maintained hotel and grounds in this beautiful landscape, provided us with another very relaxing short vacation.

Relaxing days in the South Palatinate
We had spent two very relaxing nights in the Pfalzblick. The room was very quality and friendly. The bathroom with the walk-in shower was especially excellent for my husband, who is severely disabled. The staff were extremely helpful in all areas of the hotel. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. We also enjoyed the wine tasting in particular. The evening menu was delicious and there was something for everyone on the wine list.
Only the weather should have been better. But now the hotel really can't help it!
